Love this meal, even better with bacon instead of ham. We cook ours on the stovetop in a deep pan. Low and slow, let the flavors combine.

If the ham has additional fat or I add some bacon ... I like to make a thick brown/gravy with the fat and green bean liquid to pour over the combo

Yes! Belly is some what of a gourmet cook
That same combo of ham, green beans and potatoes make a great soup add a ham bone and ham bouion boil for about 2 hours add ham, green beans and potatoes make a very thick rue with the green bean liquid add to soup mixer servied with a sour cream and or table spoon vinger is a great soup.

I prefer heating it in a skillet, on a stove. I'll eat it cold too.

Great meal.. I usually just cook it on the stove.
