Solyndria was merely an investment that didn't work out. We invest in emerging technologies because otherwise it's difficult for them to get off the ground (many things we now use started with government funds). We can't arrest people every time it doesn't work out.

Please point out in any founding document wherein the federal government is responsible for "seed money", "getting companies off the ground" and financing private enterprise. While you are at it, please tell the TAXPAYERS why you believe that throwing half a billion dollars down a KNOWN rat hole is something we should just accept as the government missing out on here and there.

This just in...THERE ISN'T A HALF BILLION DOLLARS anywhere in the US Treasury to throw down 1 rat hole, let alone hundreds of them.

I think we can put that one on the back burner for the time being and focus our attention on the rich folks on Wall Street who collected record bonuses during the housing bubble while meanwhile squandering away 20% of the wealth that has been accumulated over the course of our 200+ year history. I'm pretty sure that's the more pressing issue.

Once again, focusing the attention elsewhere in an attempt to make the democratic party look bad (they don't need help) is exactly what Wall Street wants you to do. They want you to focus your ire on Washington alone so that you can feel like you're making a difference once you vote in new politicians who Wall Street can then corrupt all over again.

Again....you're setting up a straw man here. I have continually said throughout this thread that Democrats are just as guilty, why do you keep propping up argument that make it seem like I'm going to defend the Democratic party? They're a wholly owned subsidiary of Wall Street, same as the Republicans.
