In what could potentially be a must win for the Irish, they will officially take on St. Peters Prep next Saturday at 3pm at Fordham University. The game was rumored to be cancelled in the middle of the week before it was back on this past Thursday. St. Eds will take on the #1 team in the county, Don Bosco Prep, immediately after at 6pm.

Ursuline is coming off a 20-7 loss to #1 Lakewood St. Edward. Ursuline now sits at 1-5 on the year, but still far from out of the DV, R17 playoff hunt. St. Peters Prep plays this evening at Boston College High School in Boston, MA. The Marauders currently are 1-2 on the season.

HighSchoolSports.net calculator has St. Peter's winning this game 28-27. This should be a terrific contest.

I like Ursuline to win this game. They know a win will help their playoff chances enormously. Go IRISH!

GO OHIO!

Wasn't that impressed with Bosco last year, so I hope Eds takes it to them.

St. Peters up 28-14 on BC High School in the 4th quarter. Sounds like SPP has some undisciplined players on their team.

BC, per what I am hearing, missed a FG and had two interceptions inside the St. Peters territory.

Ursuline will win big in this game. They are the greatest D5 team on the Universe. I can tell you one thing for sure, nobody in D5 will ever beat this team!!! 1-9 playoffs baby!

Wonder if they have a Vince Lombardi statue there somewhere. He was a two way lineman there a few years ago, maybe like 70 or so? The Rams still? Good Luck to all of the Ohio teams.

Big Red and St. Eds have had more penalties the past two weeks than Ursuline probably has had in all six games this year.

Because both games were at Stambaugh Stadium........hmmmmm.

I heard some shady things about the Refs in the Big Red/Ursuline game.

Hey layoff the refs. I don't blame Uncle Joe and cousin Tommy for trying to help the home team.

Discipline involves more than just penalties. If you actually were at that game, you would have seen at least 3 Ursuline players walk away and refuse to shake hands with the Big Red. Your own coach could not make them get back in line.
And as far as officiating goes, no penalties were called on Ursuline in the entire first half; and clearly there were some very obvious late hits out of bounds and in two instances, they had an illegal formation. Only when it became clear who was going to win that game, was the flag thrown against Ursuline four times in a matter of minutes.
In any given game, you can expect some poor calls against each team and you hope they go 50/50. I paid attention to 2 individual refs due to the fact I have an uncle who has refereed for many years up there and he mentioned that there were 2 on that crew that have been called for not picking up on field violations.
I know you love your team and they have had an amazing run over the last several years, but after watching Big Red Freshmen beat Ursuline's frosh 36-2 with only 15 boys dressing for Ursuline, you may have to lower your expectations over the next several years.
Cheers!

It cracks me up every time I hear a Big Red fan complain about the refs

I'm not saying that you didn't get hosed (or attempted to be hosed) last week, I wasn't there. But please don't even try and say that it never happens at your place!!

I don't think anyone could ever say that. I remember when Big Red played a game with Youngstown Rayen that was embarrassing. Rayen was robbed in that game plain and simple. It happens.
When Big Red played In the old All American Conference we paid Big Ten Officials to do our games at $250.00 per. They made some of the worst calls I have ever seen against both teams.

You and I both know that the penalties that Big Red blatantly committed were the false starts inside the redzone. When you jump, a flag is going to be thrown. BR was jumping all night and that is the reason why they were held to 22 points. You have some argument with the others, but at least 75% of those penalties were legit. Should one of those penalties been called on Ursuline for a late hate... sure one, but not all five like the BR fans were screaming for.

Seriously, you're coming with that?

You don't think high school kids have ever been cheated at your place? Get real!!!

And I'm pretty sure that's not all you're going to say. You''ll be blabbing for 6 pages

There is a lot more to the Ref story at Ursuline.

Shady, to say the least.

And I have no idea who reffed that night, but if it was the Montana brothers, they are the best the area has to offer. The Maria Stein Marion Local fans didn't complain when the Montana brothers reffed the 2007 D5 title game between their alma mater of Ursuline and Maria Stein. Called a fair game each way.

OVAC refs are the worst around. If you go into an OVAC stadium for a non-conference game, you're for all intents and purposes down 2 scores before the opening kickoff.

I might be outnunmbered on this site but you talk to all the people who were at the game and hear it then ,and our fans are smart football fans this isnt our first rodeo .... When we are on D we are aloud to move around and try and get the O to jump and then you guys blatenly hit our guys out of bounds on a few occasions .. its ok we beat your thugs this year im happy enough
