Amazon just released 4 new kindle's.

A kindle touch for $99, kindle touch 3G for $149, kindle (without touch) for $79, and the kindle fire (android tablet) for $199.

I'll keep my plain ol' Kindle, thank you very much. I got some new fancy smart phone that I have no clue how to use. Shouldn't sell those things to anyone over 40.

Anyone have a kindle with the ads? I'm wanting one and would get this 99 dollar touch version if I was certain the ads don't fuck up reading in any way.

It doesn't interrupt reading as the ads only play when you're not reading. Or so that's what I've read/seen.

How many free books on the kindle? How much do books cost? Can you rent books, like a lybairy?

Lots of free books but probably not many that you'd actually want to read. Books are usually $10 and under. Yes, you can now checkout books from the library.
