The new model of cars/trucks/jeeps, etc. are released in June. So 2012 Tahoe makes the 2007 Tahoe 5 years old.Big Gain;916464 wrote:"5 year old vehicle"? 2011-2007????

Doesn't matter. How does a student with no income of any substance get a car loan for 15-20G's?? I'll give ya a hint, they don't.cats gone wild;915469 wrote:No one really knows the situation, and yes it seems kinda fishy. But, when you are looking at a 2011 Yukon vs. a 2007 Tahoe, theres a HUGE difference in price. This isnt like the Lebron and the H2 stuff. This is a 5 year old vehicle that costs less than a small new car.

How do they get $1MM in life insurance policies? How do people with 500 FICOs buy cars? There is a way.se-alum;916535 wrote:Doesn't matter. How does a student with no income of any substance get a car loan for 15-20G's?? I'll give ya a hint, they don't.
Hell when I was in college I get an application for a Capital One Card. I had no income. Yet I was approved for a limit of $15,000. Maybe Richardson maxed out his credit card just like Boom Herron did to buy his car?

Yes. Still have it to this day. It explains a lot about why our financial institutions are struggling.Automatik;916589 wrote:I'm calling BS.
I think they may have decreased it to $10,000 about a year ago, after I was actually earning an income.

Okay I'm making it up, because that's what I do.se-alum;916601 wrote:Just stop, nobody is buying it.
I got my first CC right after I turned 18. Always paid on time, so in my senior year in college I got the card application with 0% for 12 months. I got approved for 15M. I couldn't believe it, and still think it was a mistake.
But it makes sense in some regards for the CC companies to do this.

Um if it was actually a 2007 car that came out in 2006, its 5 years old now. The year that 2011s come out is completely irrelevant.

2. I'm pretty sure Kobe wouldn't get approved for 15M

actually having money is college is rather common. My parents paid for my school so everything I made was mine to spend. I know I was lucky and this would be rare but many people get too much or more than enough money for loans. Also most college students can get loans for anything.

2007-08 1 year
2008-09 2 years
2009-10 3 years
2010-11 4 years
2011-12 5 years
The 2007's come out in late summer of 2006 and the 2012's are already out also.

I was approved for a cc with a $5000 limit and bought a $27000 during my senior year so I will say its plausible what dynasty is saying.

I always understood credit scores, so at 18 I got my first CC and paid it in full monthly (with the help of parents). By my senior year in college my balance was minimal and I had zero student loans. From a creditors perspective I'm exactly who they wanted. They approve me for a decent limit and it's a card that I will use for the next 60 years.j_crazy;916746 wrote:I was approved for a cc with a $5000 limit and bought a $27000 during my senior year so I will say its plausible what dynasty is saying.

How about this bank? I needed to put a new well and septic system at my cottage on lake Michigan. I figured 10K would cover it. So I inquired about a line of credit on the property. They said it shouldn't be a problem, but they needed to send someone to check out the property. In the middle of the winter during a snow storm. They give me a call and say everything is approved and come in and sign the papers. I go in and they want to give me $500,000. I tell them I only need 10. They say well at least take $100,000 to get the best interest rate. The best rate? 2.99% It's forever, just pay the interest.
