Pick 6, blocked punt, returned punt for td, returned kickoff for td, sack, hail Mary, running back bouncing off a bunch of tackles, juggling catch, etc....

Tough call. A punt return for a TD is probably the most exciting per se.

There's nothing like a well executed veer or mid-line to me.

Nothing like a 4th down pass play on the last drive of a game when the team with the ball is trailing.

I guess what it comes down too imo is what would i like 2 see happen if my team is losing and the game is about over. I think ill go with a blocked punt for a TD.

Being at your first ever NFL game, rooting for the away team, your team leading late in the fourth quarter, only to watch the home team make a last drive to win the game by one. Oh, then watching your team get GREAT field position with under 2 minutes, and all they need to do is get about 6-7 yards to give their (monster-legged) kicker a chance, and watching them not gain a single yard. Yeah, that's my favorite.

That Johnny Knox punt return last night was pretty damn exciting before that ghost holding call brought it back.

For me, a pick-6 is probably the most consistently exciting play, followed closely by a kick/punt return for a TD.

You can add in, blocked fieldgoals/punts, a QB getting drilled by a safety at full speed, safety, onside kick, 99 yard pass play.

The big play on the final drive of the game. BSU hook and ladder play and then the statue of liberty. LSU hail mary against Kentucky. The Marshawn Lynch run. You just know a timeless play when it happens.

Thank you for using the correct term. I hate when people say "hook and ladder."

For me personally, I find any type of multiple reverse or flea flicker type play to be really exciting.

A hard run up the middle that breaks a tackle, runs over a DB and takes it 40 yards to the house

A punt when the game is on the line, and punting team ahead. You have the chance for the block and the return!

You're welcome. I forgot about the time Quincy Wilson juked Vince Wilfork, outran Sean Taylor, then literally ended Merriweather's life and jumped over his corpse for a TD, that was probably the most exciting play I've ever seen.

I'm sorry let me put it in OC speak.
Punt return darrr deee durrr durrr durrrrrrr.
Exciting per se, meaning exciting by itself, is the most exciting because a returned interception in the flats isn't all that exciting, just rare. Also, a blocked punt isn't all that exciting BY ITSELF either, it's just rare. Nothing really beats a punt return because he's got to dodge a few guys and also be fast as shit....and it's rare.
