Minnesota comes to the Big House for a noon kickoff with Michigan. The Little Brown Jug goes to the victors. B1G opener for both.

Minnesota - 6

Michigan - 38

Go Blue!!!!!!!!

GophersNow
Jerry Kill suffered another seizure today and was admitted into Mayo Clinic today, according to Gophers. Not clear if he'll coach this week.
Not sure if it matters.

he needs to stay away from the sidelines - probably for the rest of the year. his health is more important

Minnesota is an embarrassment to the BIG. Michigan will win easily.

This x1000. He seems like a good guy, and I feel bad that his health is that bad.

Minnesota is easily the worst team in the B1G this year. Michigan by a lot.

Bingo. Either way, Michigan big. But I hope they can establish something other than the DR run game.

I really don't think the Gophers season could get much worse. At least I'll be drunk in row 95 of Michigan Stadium in my maroon and gold for this massacre.

I feel for you. I thought Kill was the answer and thought the USC game was good showing for the gophers. WTF happened after that?

Whoever has the ball last, wins. High scoring game.

I'll go 45-38, Michigan.

I think Minnesota wins as this is a perfect time for Michigan to have its annual "lose to a terrible team we shouldn't"(a la Toledo, App State, Indiana).

I have my theories, but here goes: 1) USC is overrated. 2) Coach Kill has had over 20 seizures since the end of the New Mexico State game. There's a reason he has checked into the Mayo Clinic "indefinitely" and it isn't good. 3) This is still the same Minnesota team that lost to South Dakota last year, but without a senior, experienced quarterback. Throw it all together and it says things ain't good in Minneapolis. I still think Kill can turn it around in his tenure, given his track record of success elsewhere, but I'm firmly in the "show me" camp after dropping the games to NMSU and NDSU.

A little bit of history, here's Oscar Munson - the janitor who found the jug after the 1903 game - with the jug in 1937:

And the 1903 game receipt ... the teams brought in just shy of $31,000, to be divided between the teams, after expenses paid:

^^^Until tsun faces a real defense. If he can maintain this pace against the B1G, then he deserves all the love he gets (even though they don't play Wisky)...I especially can't wait to see how he performs against Nebraska.

I still don't think he deserves mention until he can hit the broad side a of a barn on his passes.

from the article
Ask yourself this: If we had a running back who finished second nationally in 2010 with 1,702 yards and was currently leading FBS with 160.6 yards per game, wouldn't he be a Heisman favorite? If you took that same player and said that he had thrown for six TDs out of the Wildcat in four games, would we be knocking his accuracy?
The Heisman lately goes to the best player on a team in the title game, so he likely won't win it. I just thought it was an interesting perspective.

Yeah, but he's not a running back running the wildcat. Wait a minute.........

Damn it!
