It was pathetic. I thought if Campbell could smack them Struthers could. But that just shows how much east has improved.

Shows you how much we haven't improved with a so called great coach. I don't think Asher could coach his way out of a wet paper bag!

cant believe all the hatred for asher...i havent seen the team so maybe its justified, but i think its a little early to be saying the guy needs to go. also the other problem is this, if you get rid of him who do you replace him with????????????

I am surprised too for all the hatred for Asher. Don't you think he deserves at least another couple of years to see where they are at? He did some good things down at EL. I think he could do the same at Struthers.

Some struthers fans think that they will be back in the golden days over night... sorry it starts at home if you don't disipline your kids at home then they wont listen to some random guy.... and face it struthers is not as talented as they have been in the past. and BIG CAT i dont see your truth at all? this team would have lost at least 2 more games under any coach struthers has had in awhile unless its zetts coaching the team.... They have a winning record, but thats right you would rather go back to the 1-9 and 2-8 days when you got blown out by 40 every game and dont score any points on teams like canfield in 3 years, your a complete moron and i guarentee you are a nobody in this town just someone who goes by he say she say, dont even commment back cause i won't respond to an idiotic statement....

And just who are you? What gives you the right to put someone down and call them an idiot, just because you don't care for their opinion?

Asher hasn't even coached against Canfield yet, so how do you know he'll do any better? Look at his record... he hasn't exactly had the most success against winning teams, like Canfield, Poland, and Howland.

I agree with you. A complete 180 wasn't gonna happen overnight. In their 3 losses though, they were outscored 106-26, by 3 teams that you thought they could've beaten. They may not be as talented as they've been in the past, but they're better than that, and I think you'd agree with me.

We'll see what happens over the next 3 weeks... 4-6 would be very disappointing though, especially after a 4-1 start. Hopefully they can manage at least 1 more win, or at least manage to keep the next 3 interesting.

Asher needs to find a way to stop the bleeding.

Talk to anyone in East Liverpool. They'll disagree with you.

Let's be be glad that we don't have teams like Canfield on the schedule. Lose by 31 to Girard, 22 to East and by 27 to Labrae, these teams wouldn't sniff teams like Canfield's jock! So how can you say Canfield wouldn't score 40 on us, or us even score on them? With the exception of the Liverpool game the rest were dog fights. Who looks like the moron now?

Isn't it up to a coach to make sure their intensity level is up? So what your saying is, losing last year was the kids fault, cuz a coach can only do so much.... No matter what the score was midway through the 3rd end result 31!

Last year he had talent be honest.... Their OL last year was ten times better then it was this year, They lost so much speed in Mcdonald and Brooks thats why i think Kimbrough hasnt done as much cause teams are keying on him rather then brooks correct me if you think im wrong, do i think asher is a great coach? NO is he better then Saunders? Id say hes a better second half coach bringing team back a couple times this year after bad first halfs against liberty BL and jefferson...... I think you give him a little more time for christ sakes saunders had 4 awful seasons... give him another year unless you have a definate good coach lined up or have zetts come back just to run the offense.....

Is me not having played before supposed to discredit me somehow? As if, I never know what I'm talking about.

When I do post something stupid, I admit I was wrong. I never once claimed to be a football genius, or that I could do a better job.

You know who else didn't play HS Football though? Pete Pirone, Sr. He's only the winningest coach Struthers has ever had.

You don't have to have played the game in order to learn it, live it, and love it. There's a lot of coaches, sports writers, agents, owners, and other various personalities that make a living off of football, and every other sport for that matter, that would agree with that.

You're a real class act.

And yes, I have played football before. If you have any clue who I am, you'll understand why I had to give up football at an early age...
