Just curious what you use. I have been reading up and I am thinking of buying a decent safety razor instead of getting raped every time I buy disposable cartridges.

I use a Gillette Fusion. Had to use a Mach 3 for a few months on deployment. I never realized how big of a difference there was in the two until I had to go back. I love my Fusion.

I would use a straight razor if I wasn't convinced that I'd end up killing myself on accident.

I shave in the shower with a Cartridge razor. When ever I HAVE to shave at a sink it tears me up.

Electric - touch up with a cartridge razor around the 'stache and chin decoration about every three days.

Gillette fusion face and head. Best blade for me that I have found so far. Electric tears my neck to hell and clippers don't get close enough on the dome. Just wish fusions weren't so damn expensive!

I use the detail clippers that came with my hair clippers. So I guess "electric." I leave it a little scruffy.

Fusion.

Shaved the beard off for the first time in about a year today...worst possible day I could have done it I think.

I hope you go to Sam's or Costco for these. You have to burn through them if you do the dome on a regular basis.

I shave every other day. I can stretch a blade to 5-6 shaves if I'm careful. I get them for a discount at my girls work so that helps.

Safety razor ....when I'm in a hurry dry shave
I like the feel of a straight razor but you do have to prepare your face/whiskers with hot towel or hot water and shaving cream. To timely for me…

Some FYI for you cartridge users out there.......a money-saving tip. Those little boogers are pricey.

I have used cartridges for years. Replace them every Sunday after 6 or 7 shaves. After that, they began to scratch and/or cut. My wife heard a man on the radio claiming to only buy two cartridges per year. He claimed that by drying the cartridge off every day just after shaving - that the blade wouldn't deteriorate or corrode nearly as fast.

I started this two weeks ago and am on my 12th shave, same cartridge and it feels like the first day. I'm just sayin'.....

BTW, besides a hand towel, I also take about 30 seconds with a hair dryer just to be sure.
