Sal Fasano...hoping that if seen in public enough wearing that shirt, Justin will make another one featuring him?

Exactly. He can strikeout with the best of them

Really hope Heisey, Sappelt, Alonso, and Bruce are the outfielders next year. Sappelt is hitting .300 over the last month, and is great defensively.

That's my hope too assuming nothing happens with Votto. Package Stubbs and some young pitching for an upgrade in the rotation.

Heisey could get about 50 starts in left and center and 10 in right give or take a little.

I've always been high on Sappelt, happy to see him show what he can do lately.

To put this feat into perspective...

In 1976 Rose, Morgan and Concepcion combined for 1,934 plate appearances. They struck out 163 times.

From 1990-'01 Tony Gwynn played in 1,380 games w/ 5,705 plate appearances. He struck out 201 times.

From 1936-'42 Joe DiMaggio played in 976 games w/ 4,417 plate appearances. He struck out 196 times.

What you look for in young players is improvement.

Stubbs regressed this year.

I like what I have been seeing from bailey the last 10 or so starts. Next year will be his breakout.

I'm skeptical of Bailey breaking out....we gotta get some starters to 200 innings.

Doesn't Homer always finish strong? I think it's because he's pitching against so many AAA players he thinks he's back in Louisville.

I really hope Jocketty will try to move Stubbs, but I just don't see it happening.
