If you weren't depressed enough...

Ohio State finds itself behind Wisconsin, Michigan, Illinois, Michigan State. Other traditional powers ahead of Ohio State include: South Florida, Baylor, Central Florida (off a loss to FIU), and the aforementioned Florida International.

Good times.

All 3 teams ND has played are ahead of Ohio State. Norte Dame should be 3-0 without question and would probably beat Ohio State easily at this point. I don't think we will see the Buckeyes handle Michigan State as easily as Notre Dame did. In fact, I would be surprised if Ohio State even beats Michigan State.

UND is better than OSU. For once. Talk to me after week 5 though.

It's not depressing. It took losing about 10 players to suspension, a couple of lost recruits and losing a legendary Coach for ND to be ahead of OSU and not by much.

Why should ND be 3-0? Did the 2 teams they lost to cheat?

I don't think Ohio State would score a point on Notre Dame if they played tomorrow.

That's retarded.

"Should". What the fuck ever. Michigan beat Notre Dame, fair and square. Deal with it.

Notre Dame "should" have beaten Michigan.. but they didn't, so why even say that? It's pointless.

Yeah that 63rd ranked scoring defense would stifle Ohio State!

BTW, it's not really an accomplishment to shut down Ohio State's offense right now...that's like bragging about beating up the retarded kid in your class

It's a stupid argument anyway, but defensive stats are a little skewed this early on, especially considering the 3 teams ND played are currently in the top 25.

I realize it's a message board for debate and discussion but why does it always come back to OSU vs. ND on here? Both teams have their issues and they don't play each other unless they somehow meet in a Bowl game.

I don't know. It just always seems to turn into a huge argument and it's not like it's going to get settled on the field.

ha, all I did was mention that 1-2 Notre Dame was ahead of OSU in ESPN's meaningless power rankings. I'd point the finger at Skyhook, who is probably just waiting for OSU to flip the switch like his Lakers did.

The OSU defense will keep them in alot of games this year, as always. Plus they get Adams, Posey, and Herron back after game five. The Miami game was a worse case scenario for an extremly young team who cannot pass the ball because they got down quickly on the road. I think if OSU actually develops game plans around Braxton's legs, along with a very strong traditional running game they could suprise a few teams. The X-factors are coaching and how many times Miller is going to make huge freshman mistakes the rest of the year. This team will be so much different from now to the end of the year it's so hard to tell what might happen.

They completely dominated both sides of the football vs South Florida. 508 to 254 yards. South Florida was 2-14 on 3rd down. 5 turnovers to 0 and it was a 3 point game. The one pass hit a Norte Dame player in the damn head and ended up being picked off.

As for Michigan..we all watched that football game. I don't care if you are a Norte Dame fan, a Michigan fan or a Buckeye fan like me...you are delusional if you think Michigan played well enough to win that game. Redzone turnovers killed ND and and 2 of the worst defensive plays you will ever see. On top of that, when they caught a break and forced a Michigan fumble inside the 5, the ball popped right to Robinson for a TD.

So yes, any reasonable person can say Notre Dame should be 3-0.

This.

It'll really eat at my soul of Notre Dame goes 10-2. This defense, outside of one quarter, has been superb.

Well who won? Obviously Michigan played well enough to beat Notre Dame.

If that's your logic, Michigan would've won by 3 TDs had they played well.

Michigan played to the best of their abilities and won by three.
