I recently found a job in New Albany, just outside of Columbus and need to find an apartment.
I am aware of craigslist and Apartment Guide, but are there any other websites I should use to search for apartments?
Any other apartment-hunting advice would be appreciated as well.

I was actually looking at an apartment in Blacklick. Basically at New Albany-Reynoldsburg Rd and Broad St. Unfamiliar with the area, though...was going to scope it out tomorrow.LJ;903561 wrote:Morse and Tamarack..... nicest area in town

Moved from Westerville a couple months ago. I enjoyed the area. There are some nice apartments just east of hamilton/morse road (East of Hamilton, north of Morse). I think this is considered the Gahanna area?

The best apartments in the area are along Central College road.

The "newish" ones that are in New Albany schools but in BFE? On the right hand side when going east?LJ;903608 wrote:Yeah

New Albany and that whole area really isn't a cheap area. A lot of money is out that way and rent is going to coincide.dlazz;903818 wrote:I'm finding lots of apartments, just none in my price range.

I've been using padmapper.com
My search is finally over and it was hell. Good luck.

I'm buying a condo in Westerville. You could live in my guest bedroom.

Don't forget rent is negotiable just like buying. Not everywhere but most places.

Depends on a lot of variables. I'd like to pay less than $650/month and that's including utilities...so I've been shopping for the 400-525 range.raiderbuck;903876 wrote:what's your range?
It'll be my first "on my own" experience, since I'm done with college and have my first full-time job. Not expecting anything awesome, apartment-wise.

Only live there if you want to get robbed. Both the ones to the North and South are bad. I would check out the ridge at taylor station. They are cheap like you are looking for. The complex is pretty safe. The places are older but much bigger then anything else in that price range. If you want to spend more look at the lifestlyes on BroadI was actually looking at an apartment in Blacklick. I'm guessing he'd actually like furniture and furnishings in his apartment though.I had a really nice apartment in Massillon, that was a little out of your price range, after college. Hope this helps.

Have you checked Gahanna at all? I'm not sure of how pricey, but I really like that area near Mill St. and Grandview.

I've been looking just about everywhere. That padmapper site has several that I didn't see on any other website, so I might give a few of them a call later.Automatik;904229 wrote:Have you checked Gahanna at all? I'm not sure of how pricey, but I really like that area near Mill St. and Grandview.
I keep finding apartments that are in my price range, but seem too good to be true. I was hoping someone would be able to help and steer me away from trash areas, since I don't know that side of Columbus all that well.

The creekside apartments are EX-PEN-SIVE
I think there are some cheaper ones back in, but i think they are mainly older people (like...old) The ones at Mill St and Stylger by the City BBQ are complete trash.

Yeah...I just received word that my old campus apartment is available again. I think I'm just going to get that back. It'll be considerably cheaper than anywhere else.

Yeah, but you're still on campus. If you don't mind the drive, what about Olentangy Commons? I think they decreased their rent in the recent months. I lived there for 2 years and loved it.
