what an ugly game. our pass rush is legit for sure. when we blitz it seems like we always get to the qb. sheldon brown needs to go. but hey i'll take it. 2-1. first place. gotta love it.

Haha. Yup you guys are 2-1. Nice job! If you guys would have beat us, you'd be 3-0.

It is sad we choked away that game to a very bad Bengals team. Oh well...that shit happens all the time I guess

Browns are 3-0 if not for one horrible lapse. I'll glady take 2-1 though, first time since 2002.

Feels good to be 2-1 instead of 1-2. Yes, we should be 3-0, but who really thought (at the start of the season anyway) that the Browns would be 2-1 after 3 games? There's obviously some work to be done on both sides of the ball. The offense needs to build some consistency, and the defense has to find a way to stop the run.
Things that stood out to me -
Hardesty looks to be a very valuable back-up at RB. Now if only Shurmur can figure out a good way to utilize him.
I guess we do have some talent at WR. Robo should probably be done after this season, but Little, Massaquoi and Cribbs have really stepped-up. I'm really surprised by Cribbs growth as a receiver, dude has some solid hands although he does drop the ball occasionally.
D'Qwell Jackson is flourishing in the 4-3, and our D-Line is out-frickin'-standing. Sheard has really come on from the preseason when I thought he'd be eventually demoted to second team. Taylor and Rubin are two hogs I'd want on my d-line any day of the week, and we now know why the front office was so high on Mitchell.
Ward is going to be a star in this league at Safety, but Haden might already be one. A.J. Green is a Pro-Bowl caliber WR, and if not for that 1 lucky pass, he would've been held to 0 receptions in that game. Reggie Wayne and Brandon Marshall are former Pro-Bowlers, and Haden absolutely stiffled their production on offense. I'm super happy he's in our secondary. I'd like to see Skrine grow a little more as a corner, and move into the starting spot ahead of Brown, but right now I think Dimitri Patterson could push for some playing time.
Overall, the Browns were ugly in victory today, but it's these close victories where the team has to grind throughout the game and really earn a victory, that builds confidence for a young team - especially Colt McCoy. You know he's got to be feeling less than happy about his performance today, but at least he can say that he was good when it mattered most. That game-winning drive should really boost McCoy's confidence heading into the Titans game next week.

Just got home from the game. Had a sense that if the Browns could keep Miami out of the end zone in the 4th they'd have a shot! Nice finish(other than the celebration and horse collar).
Good to see the local kid score one for the Dolphins.

Glad for a win, but we had no business even being in this game. Def did their part, McCoy was terrible, WRs were terrible, playcalling was pathetic. Ecstatic for the win, proud of the guys rallying, but I'm getting worried about McCoy. He hasnt looked good since the 3rd preseason game. His INT was terrible.
Win is a win. Go Browns.

For once it's nice to have the Browns break the heart of another team that let's them hang around. It's usually the Browns who let teams hang around only to blow it.
Fins dominated this game on both sides of the ball but that Browns D played the "bend but don't break." McCoy hasn't looked sharp and the damn batted down passes are getting on my nerves.
A win IS a win and hopefully they can keep it rolling next week.

I didn't get the score right but it did turn out to be a 1 point victory by the Browns. That was a nice throw by McCoy to win it at the end.

Rubin had a MONSTER game in this one. NINE tackles (8 solo) & 1.5 sacks from the DT position? Unheard of numbers from an interior D-Linemen. Just as impressive was Phil Taylor with 7 (4 solo) tackles and a sack. This young D-Line is IMPRESSIVE.

We have gone up against pretty shitty offenses, but the entire defense other than Sheldon Brown has looked pretty damn decent....especially the front four.BR1986FB;910748 wrote:Rubin had a MONSTER game in this one. This front 4 can bring the heat. Think they may lead the NFL in sacks.wes_mantooth;910756 wrote:We have gone up against pretty shitty offenses, but the entire defense other than Sheldon Brown has looked pretty damn decent....especially the front four.

Doubt this becomes a trend, but I completely agree. A win is a win and I'm glad the schedule started off so weak so the young guys can gain some confidence. Some are saying we could be 3-0, well they could also be 1-2 very easily. McCoy is not the answer, but if he can get this team to around .500 it's a place to start. The defense has some anchors in place, but the offense has a ways to go.Commander of Awesome;910661 wrote:Glad for a win, but we had no business even being in this game. At this point I don't think .500 is a complete stretch.

Let's just hope Taylor's MCL sprain isn't too serious. We have zero depth on the line, and especially nobody that can replace someone like him.BR1986FB;910748 wrote:Rubin had a MONSTER game in this one. I think it is a stretch, but they do benefit from getting the NFC West this year.thedynasty1998;910790 wrote:Doubt this becomes a trend, but I completely agree. I was at the game. Great atmosphere, the stadium was loud at the end. McCoy looked like shit all day (some of it was because the WRs couldn't get open smh), but he didn't let that get to him, and he found his mark when it counted most. He is a winner. Shurmur needs to work on his play calling though. He looked lost until the last drive.
Also, nice to see this idiot is trolling lol:

lol you sure you got coverage of your game? You sure knew what was going on in this game. Pretty pathetic considering the Bengals had a close game. Just shows how pathetic bengals fans are. I wouldn't be concerned about any other games while the Browns are playing, especially when the Browns are in a close battle.jordo212000;910348 wrote:I said this in week 1 and people got emotional and defensive
