Would you let McCreary keep his job if I introduced you to him?CCRolly;952382 wrote:Wow, what I wouldn't give to meet this guy face-to-face. But then again, he'd have to come up out of his momma's basement first...

I think I laughed for 10 minutes.Old Rider;952340 wrote:In all honesty...the difference in the game and what I feel was the deciding factor was the fact that Coach McCreary forgot to wear his crocs!
But seriously, what is with the Wooster coaching staff attire?? None of them matched at all.
If first impressions make the biggest impacts, then i would never hire those guys just based on the way they dress. Sometimes looking the part helps you to play the part. I don't think that if MCCreary were to dress like Woody Hayes means he would coach like him, but dressing like a guy heading to the 1982 pep-rally and his buddies in jeans and camo, isnt cutting it.

300, something sounded awfully fishy with you wanting to meet me in a bathroom at a local establishment. Maybe your cup of tea, not mine!

Wooster H.S. football coach Mike McCreary resigned this morning. He compiled a 69-63 record over 13 seasons, won OCC made playoffs in 03-04. Wooster FB 34-36 since then & lost to Orrville last 7 yrs. AD Andy Kellar said he directed changes 2 be made but McCreary resigned instead. Kellar wouldn't specify what those changes were.

McCreary leaves behind some big Crocs to fill at Wooster.
I am ashamed of myself, but I said it.

NOT on the wish list..Shawn Billker (the 1 year wonder at Dalton).
Now would be a great time to discover that Joe Gantz has been a defensive coordinator at a Columbus area high school for the past few years.
I think an alum would be preferred, but not necessary. Coaching experience would trump that, IMO.

Joe Gantz was named assistant boy's lacrosse coach late last month, which means he is planning on residing in the area. Hmmmmm.RedRider1;1012306 wrote:NOT on the wish list..Shawn Billker (the 1 year wonder at Dalton).

A little young to be the head coach, IMO.

Agree, nepotism has kept the program where it's at long enough.

300...we could have Dennis and still beat the Knights. Your record wasn't too favorable against McCreary...wait till we get a legit coaching staff in here now!
OQB...you have it wrong, he was a legend in the Orrville community. The Generals will be putting a hurt on the Riders in the near future now...

Have the administrators given a timeline on hiring a new head coach?
