This. It is probably the last thing on the list of things to be mad about. Get the other issues corrected, then we can talk about the timeout thing, k?like_that;900847 wrote:Calling three timeouts probably wouldn't have affected the outcome of the game, but I think it sends the wrong message to the team imo.

No problem here with the run for the score, it just points out how out of touch Fickell really is. I don't understand why he didn't use his T.O's. Smith and those on the Board who gave that gentle shove to Tressel should be having a sit-down tomorrow in Columbus about his actions. I'm not sure I want to see a H.C. at Ohio State give up like that.

yeah and not that it matters, but it sends the wrong message to the media and the fans as well. Luke will get drilled with questions over that.like_that;900847 wrote:Calling three timeouts probably wouldn't have affected the outcome of the game, but I think it sends the wrong message to the team imo.

SMH. My fear is coming true. This is a 4 loss team, perhaps even 5. I feel so bad for the defense tonight. They played their hearts out, and our offense crapped their pants. Bauserman can't make a play to save his life and Miller is simply not ready. Miller will be good in due time, but he still thinks he's playing against H.S. defenses. You can't carry the ball like that... He's not ready to read a defense (not that Bauserman is either tho). We're just in for a looooong season, my friends.
Fickle is NOT the answer. I pray we land Meyer.

It does matter. That is just added bullshit he and the team will have to deal with now.wes_mantooth;900852 wrote:yeah and not that it matters, but it sends the wrong message to the media and the fans as well. Luke will get drilled with questions over that.

I hope we land someone who has a good understanding of offense, defense and special teams. Luke is relying too much on Tressel's brain trust.

I'm assuming we've seen the last of Bauserman. Sad thing is, many could have called that after watching the first half of the Toledo game. Braxton needs 100% of the first team reps from here on out. Bauserman brings absolutely nothing to the table. Well, except that changeup that I'm so fucking tired of hearing about.

OSU has had a good defense for awhile now. We haven't had an offense since T.Smith, T.Ginn, and A.Gonzalez.stlouiedipalma;900858 wrote:I hope we land someone who has a good understanding of offense, defense and special teams. Luke is relying too much on Tressel's brain trust.

Fickell just isn't ready to be a head coach, let alone the head coach of Ohio State.
Can't have a BCS year every year, lets at least try and put up an 8 win season and build for next year...oh and most importantly, play well enough to lure in a Meyer, Gruden, etc.

This. I wasn't expecting OSU to win at that point, but at least put up a good fight and maybe get some points on the board. Letting that much time run out is pretty much saying there's nothing else they can do.like_that;900847 wrote:Calling three timeouts probably wouldn't have affected the outcome of the game, but I think it sends the wrong message to the team imo.

The Miami players will probably celebrate this win with a yacht party and hookers tonight.

The powers that be at OSU quit on Tressel when the heat was turned up after the SI article.
The coaching staff quit on Braxton Miller after one play on a drive in the 3rd quarter.
Luke Fickell quits without using any timeouts in the last few minutes.
Quitters all over the place.

Next week isn't looking so easy, all of a sudden. Michigan State will give us a run for our money, but then the roof caves in. A team in complete disarray going into Lincoln is a recipe for disaster. You feel bad tonight? Just wait until October 8. Hell, the Illini play us tough every year at Champaign. I've got four on the 50 for that one and I'm not so sure I really want to go.

Ummm, there's a guy named Terrelle Pryor who has most QB records for Ohio State...he's played since T.SmithScarlet_Buckeye;900861 wrote:OSU has had a good defense for awhile now. We haven't had an offense since T.Smith, T.Ginn, and A.Gonzalez.

You give Miller 100% of the reps and you are tossing the towel in on this season. Miller has ZERO chance of beating Nebraska and Wisconsin. Those two teams will tear him apart. We probably lose at least two more games with Miller at the helm too simply because he just isn't ready.dat dude;900859 wrote:I'm assuming we've seen the last of Bauserman. So you're saying, after watching the last 2 games, Bauserman gives us a better chance to win?Scarlet_Buckeye;900871 wrote:You give Miller 100% of the reps and you are tossing the towel in on this season. Lol, like Bauserman has any shot at beating Nebraska or Wisconsin? Miller at least has upside, you know what you have in Bauserman.

Did you watch Bauserman play tonight? Do you know he is a fifth year senior? Miller has nowhere to go but up. Bauserman is terrible. The worst QB I've watched at OSU in my lifetime. No question.Scarlet_Buckeye;900871 wrote:You give Miller 100% of the reps and you are tossing the towel in on this season. Miller has ZERO chance of beating Nebraska and Wisconsin. 0 turnovers
In short, at least there can be some confidence in 1 QB at some part of the game

T. Pryor couldn't do a damn thing but run. I don't want an offense that relies on a running QB. I want a Boise St. / Kellen Moore type of play from my QB.SportsAndLady;900869 wrote:Ummm, there's a guy named Terrelle Pryor who has most QB records for Ohio State...he's played since T.Smith

If that's the only way you can defend someone playing then thats pretty sad.
