Which team will proove less hideous tonight?

Love Sappelt in the OF...but am not sold on hitting down the middle fastballs against moronic Cubs' pitching......but an improvement.

Phillips
Renteria
Votto
Bruce
Alonso LF
Stubbs
Francisco 3rd
Hernandez

eh?

You know Dusty wants Cueto to win that ERA title.....Sappelt over Alonso would be recommended and not sure Francisco is the best 3B we have......but time will tell.

Could combine Sappelt's defense with Alonso's offense and put Dontrelle in LF? lol

Age 22....first MLB season of any kind Johnny Cueto pitched 174 innings at maximum effort (because that's how he pitched) and 22 times threw over 95 pitches.

Age 23...Mike Leake is going to be shut down pitching less than 170 innings and only 14 times over 95 pitches.....at less than maximum effort.

Doesn't make any sense to me.

Alonso went a long way towards wall and bullpen in wind and made a good catch. 20 more in a row and my comfort level will reach the next to lowest level.

Leake is getting 1 more start, they want him around 175. Cueto pitched several years in the minors building up his innings.

I don't really see what the differnce is in 2 more starts, but might as well be cautious since it doesn't matter. Seeing Volquez is more valuable.

They should shut Bronson down too and put Wood the rotation.

Bad play by Alonso getting caught off on the line drive to SS by Ramon! Probably doesn't cost a run since Cueto probably would have made an out to end the inning, but it makes Cueto lead off the next inning.

Where is the error charged to Alonso on the kick of the ball allowing Johnson to score from first? No way he scores on a norrmal proper play on that by Yonder. Run still would have been earned though as they would have had to figure he would have scored from 3rd on the grounder to 2B with one out.

Cueto was younger too

What if the Reds were neck and neck in a playoff race? Would anyone have any issue pitching Leake thru the end of the season?

The Verducci effect has a ton of exceptions.

Ramirez chase for 100 RBI....scorers are ridiculous anymore.

They better get some one ready in the bull-pen as Cueto has used up some of himself on the trip around to 3rd so far.
