Chad Henne probably has better college stats than any buckeye QB in the past 20 years id guess
But yeah hes not cuttin it in the NFL

Yeah but 1-3 in bowls and 0-4 against OSU...Troy Smith was much more efficient but didn't start 4 years like Henne.Hb31187;886989 wrote:Chad Henne probably has better college stats than any buckeye QB in the past 20 years id guess

He played bad against a great OSU team and had bad bowl games. Go look at his stats, he was a damn good QB while @ Michigan overall

I still don't think i'll ever get over the fact that we chose to sign Culpepper over Brees.j_crazy;886966 wrote:Never fear, Matt Moore will push Henne to greatness. Oh wait. FFFFFFFFFFUUUUUUUUUUU

As a college QB, Troy Smith was heads and shoulders above Chad Henne...
Hell, he probably is as a NFL QB too.. Not real sure what the hell Miami sees in Henne.

Head and shoulders above Henne? Maybe for one year he was, overall id say not. And obviously hes still not head and shoulders above since one is battling for a QB spot in some podunk UFL town and one is Starting in the NFL(albeit it not doing well lol)

Disagree with your second statement. They both suck but at least Henne is still in the league and STARTING for an NFL team.hoops23;887066 wrote:As a college QB, Troy Smith was heads and shoulders above Chad Henne...

To be fair, Troy Smith started in the NFL as well.BR1986FB;887107 wrote:Disagree with your second statement. They both suck but at least Henne is still in the league and STARTING for an NFL team.
Henne won't be far behind him though, however, I think the reason Henne is (somehow) getting multiple shots with the Dolphins is because
A) They've been a lot like the Cowboys in terms fo finding a good QB after their hall of fame QB retired... The cowboys finally got a good QB in Romo.
B) Henne isn't as short as Troy Smith.
But yes, they both suck in the NFL.

Remarkably, Henne's numbers through two seasons (starting) are pretty close to one Drew Brees:
Brees: 525/882 (59.5%), 5,392 yards, 28 TDs, 31 INTs
Henne: 575/941 (61.1%), 6,179 yards, 27 TDs, 33 INTs
Now, not saying Henne will ever be Drew Brees...but I thought it was interesting nonetheless.

Henne is still there because the regime is too proud to move on with him and Sparano, hell they pretty much stabbed Sparano in the back and told them they were moving on last year only to keep him. We have had the chance many times to draft a qb but always pass.

I underestimated McCown's suckiness. Gabbert named the starter for this week after McCown threw 4 picks, took a safety, and got benched in the 4th quarter last week.Mulva;885144 wrote:Sets the stage for Gabbert to be starting by week 5. Luke McCown sucks.
