NW Opponents in 2010:

Orrville - D4 - 10-4 (Lost in Playoffs to Chagrin Falls)
John Hay - D4 - 6-4 (always thought they were a bigger school..guess not)
Canton South - D3 - 3-7
Padua - D3 - 8-4 (Lost in playoffs to Buchtel...eventual state runner-up)
New Philly - D2 - 4-6 (Had a down year...they usually do very well and make playoffs)
Poland - D3 - 7-4 (Lost in playoffs to Buchtel...eventual state runner-up)
St. Charles - D2 - 5-5 (Lost to Lake in playoffs Note: had a bye week)
Canfield - D2 - 5-5 (Had a down year...they usually do very well and make playoffs)
St. Thomas - D5 - 5-5 (On upswing)
Barberton - D2 - 2-8 (On upswing)

For us being a late-comer to the independent scene...I would say that is a pretty awesome schedule...but that is just my opinion.
John Hay is actually DIII this year they moved up from IV, and we made the playoffs last year by only beating 3 teams with a winning record, so you never know what will happen until all 10 games are played. Beat South !!

Good luck Indians vs South. We need those points. Nothing wrong with an independent schedule. We had some of our best playoff years as an independent.

Apparently South is in hiding. The Northwest band wagon fans have yet to figure out the new format for OC. But our friends to the west will keep us entertained for at least one more week.:D

On the other hand, I did notice more then the usual crowd at films last night. Monday nights at 7:00 in the annex. If you truely want to be part of the "in" crowd drop $15, get a nice T-shirt and watch a replay of last week's game with commentary by Coach Whiting. I would bet it is a lot better then the Tiger love fest every Tuesday in Massillon. :p

My coming the rest of the season is totally dependent on when our baby girl gets here and if I can get out of the house on Mondays. We will have to see.

So now let's start the predictions:

NW 49 (based on last weeks output)
South 13 (I am being generous)

With the Defense coming together I do not see them scoring more then this. Coach Mo better think about throwing 90 X this game because the front 3 are going to be in their backfield.

I don't think so this year...it sounds like they are pretty bad.

Canton South was a big on trying to get Northwest back into the league. So I don't think there will be any blood baths tonight. IF we played West Branch, well lets just say we would prolly try to score 100
