I can't wait to be able to get off the phone modem and be able to use AOL through my cable. I'm getting tired of trying to find the nearest AOL phone number to hook up to and get those clicks and squeals while logging on.
(I laugh, but I actually still do have an AOL email account. I don't use it often but when I go over to my parents I'll log on. They refuse to learn anything other than AOL--it's what they're comfortable with. Can't teach an old dog new tricks.

No joke. Here was The Wife's work phone until October 2010
A Nextel i1000plus. It worked, but needed 2 batteries to last an 8 hour shift. It was so damn heavy it could be used as a weapon.

That's not a mini VHS tape. Mini DV cassettes like the one you pictured are actually digital devices and as such not really AOL era antiques. Those forums over yonder, over 95% of their moderation was done through AOL browsers and probably still is.
I'm guilty of still using AOL for my mail and favorites but I cuss it each day and say i'm gonna cancel because it's a piece of shit.
Now it's going up 3.00 more and they are really pushing me.
