OK, First off...I haven't started an Indians thread since I think the end of May. Sorry if someone else wanted to start it.

Well the Tribe is 68-66 and tied for 2nd place with the White Sox in the central at 5.5 games out.

Just had a really nice home stand and even with all the injuries, we are still in the mix in September. Now, nobody thought we would be in the hunt at all this year and here we all beaten up playing with young kids and still finding ways to squeeze a win out. Detroit is bound to come down off the mountain they have been playing on the past few weeks, we are now in must win games coming down the stretch...It won't be easy, and it won't be pretty, but you just never know.

To me, this last month has been really promising to watch, because with all the injuries to the key players...we are still in the mix. I can't wait to see how these guys get better and mature in the offseason. Then lookout in 2012!

Go Tribe!

2/3 and sweep Detroit. 5/6 the other way wont do nearly as much, despite the same record for us.

basically we just need to pick up a game a week, and win the series with the Tigers. The Tribe conitinues to have good pitching for the most part. I think we'll have a pretty good feeling of where we stand by the end of next week. The team continues to surprise me with their resourcefullness.

Hopefully we can gain a game this series on Detroit. We have 3 pitchers that can shut down the tigers if they pitch well. This is pretty much the season this week. We have to put pressure on the tigers and let them know were not going anywhere.

Go Tribe!
I only went 3-1 in the last series but I'll save my magic for the Tigers unless you can sweep the Royals.

I must say, as hard as I have been on this team, I have to give credit where it's due. It is definitely impressive, that they are still above .500. It's hard to put things in perspective when you just hope to be in the playoffs, but when 4 of your so called best players are either underachieving, are out for most of the year, or both (santana, choo, pronk, strikmore) it is very hard to compete for a division title. A lot of us did say if the Tribe stayed healthy, they could win this division, well they didn't stay healthy at all. I don't know who their trainer is, but they need to hire a new one, or at the very least inject them with the shit that the incredible Hulk was taking.

Now, the Tribe will probably reward me for my kind words by getting swept by KC.

I don't foresee us getting to Bruce Chen tonight. He is cut from the mold of guys who own us. Masterson will have to be stellar.

We would have a better chance versus Walter Johnson for the simple fact he is a right hander.

We also face a LH on sunday. The odds of winning this series are slim to none.

Carlos Carrasco set to have TOMMY JOHN SURGERY.

Can the Tribe just say "uncle"? At least that's what one of their beat writers on twitter said.

Tigers have already spotted Verlander 2 runs in the 1st tonight and Miggy just stole a base. Nice of John Danks to help us out once.

Verlander doesn't have his great command. Leadoff hitter has been on 3 of 4 innings but then he bears down and the Sox haven't threatened yet.

Still 3-0 in the 4th.

Already more runs than they scored off him last sunday. Masterson is 9-0 when the tribe scores at least 4 runs. The problem is, when he pitches they don't score.

Nice to jump out to an early lead. I'm going to trust Masterson up 4 runs and spend the rest of the night flipping between the 2 CFB games instead of working a three-way with the Tribe.
