Brought to you by someone other than I92.

Livan Hernandez of the Nationals just threw his 50,000th pitch in the Major Leagues. Since they started keeping track of pitches thrown in 1988, 11 pitchers have thrown more. Can you name the top 5?

No way in hell is Schilling on the top 5 and Maddux not....no way.

I'd guess Mike Mussina has more and David Wells maybe more than Schilling....Wakefield? Smoltz? Kevin Brown?

Glavine has to be #1. He pitched for 20 damn years and never really missed time.

Ill revise without Schilling and add Maddux.

But Glavine, Johnson, Clemens, and Moyer Id be shocked if it wasnt them. Moyer and Clemens even with some years before 88.

Who was Bob Gibson's 3,000 strikeout victim, Who was Nolan Ryan's 3,000th?
*Clue.....it's the same guy.

Brown? Too many injures and way to short a career. Smoltz? Not with the 'Pen...

Clemens 67387
Maddux 64842
Moyer 58485

Smoltz was 8th but they didn't give the rest of the list or the pitch counts

Glavine was calling the game tonight when they showed the graphic and couldn't believe he threw that many and had thrown the most pitches in that time.

It'd be interesting to compare those numbers to other eras.

I wasn't answering the top 5......that had already been answered and quite easy....I was guessing on the 11 over 50,000 since 1988

Kevin Brown didn't make it...but at 47,712 career pitches.....I'd call that a good guess. Smoltz will be very close either way as well.

Who are the 11 lotz?
