I haven't bowled in about 4-5 years ---- was pretty good growing up -- averaged around 200 a few years, High game 279 a few times.

Mediocre to decent when I was in school and we'd go twice a week in the summer. I probably topped off at averaging 180 and I'm fairly sure my high is 229 getting lucky a lot that game. I doubt I could bowl 150 now.

Staring at the girls in the fat gifs thread. The 300 in his name has nothing to do with bowling.

I'm not great at all. High game so far has been a 121. I can't figure out what I'm doing wrong as of yet.

Hey that's worse than me. Well sometimes. I'll bowl a 140sih and then a 110 the next game. I don't really try to get better, though. I just drink beer and go up there and throw the ball.

Haha I think my problem partly stems from not picking the best ball for me. I go up there with a 15 lb ball and I don't throw it hard enough to pick up spares. I'm close to bowling much better than I currently do. I just need to pick out a better ball. As for the drinking part I have drove every time I have went lately so I haven't been able to drink.

haha pretty much.when you get use to custom bowling equipment you can't use regular bowling alley stuff. I haven't felt like dropping 300 or 400 dollars on bowling equipment that I would only use 2 or 3 times a year

Haven't bowled in a couple years. Bowled a 200 once, but usually right around 150.

Hand straight to your target, both on the approach and thru your follow thru.

I hear ya.

I still have my 3-4 balls that at the time were like 200+ with drilling...Probably worth like $20 a piece now.

My dad is nuts and has the latest and greatest ball every other month it seems...

It can be an expensive game.

If you are serious about getting better and possibly playing in leagues or bowling often -- get your own ball. 16lbs.

Take your time, do the same thing every time with your approach.

Concentrate on your target and follow through.

I bowl in a league during the winter. Average around 170 with a high game of 265. Followed up the 265 with something like 115. Beer usually cuts into the effectiveness.

bigdaddy, if you really want to get better get fitted for your own ball like McFly said. Most pro shop guys will give you a quick lesson on how to throw the ball once you are fitted. Throwing the ball straight at the head pin isn't the best way to do it, gotta put a little curve on it. Aiming at the arrows on the lanes a few feet in front of you is easier than trying to aim at a certain pin as well.
