Yea, I got much better when I bought my own ball. Being able to get the ball in the pocket gives you much more predictable pin action. It's pretty tough to hit the pocket throwing a ball provided by the alley. I typically don't use my thumb if I I'm using an provided ball.

This coming from a soap pusher??? LMAO!

27-300 games 10-800 series. Last year I booked my highest league average on Thursday nights at 240. Have been 220 plus for 10 years, but the soft league shots allow that.

I make a good side living at it, and the 1099's arew never frowned upon by my wife. This past spring I set new high game and series at Nationals in Reno with a 278 game and 692 series in doubles. That set alone made me over $400, plus the $700 in brackets. I've beaten PBA national champs and national touring pros in tourny around the Cleveland area.

My oldest son is almost 16, and he finished the past year with a 216 ave.

No I don't. Our group has traveled with the Sugarcreek boys for years to nationals, but that name doesn't ring a bell. The only Tim Brown I know used to do carpet or painting from the Sugarcreek area. I heard Belden closed up the alley this year...too bad. I always rolled well there, and my name was on many a placard on the wall.

Tough to be humble when your name is on many a placard on a wall of a bowling alley that is now closed.

Not bad for a 3 game series. I'm sure this was during those imaginary softball games you coach, and beers you bought the team.

Congrats on your numerous 300 games. Do you have a shirt with all of the commemorative patches sewn on it? I'm sure your 16 year old son will enjoy being a virgin until he's well into his 40s with his 216 average.

Bowling = Pitchers of beer with your friends at 1am because you are bored.

That equation divided by my hand eye coordination at the end of a night = Anywhere between 140 and 2.....

But it is ALWAYS a fun time!

I probably average like 175 or something like that. Haven't gone in a while because the alley in Alliance closes for the summer. But it's a fun thing to do with friends and beers.

Closes for the summer? To me that sounds stupid.

Wow. Within 2 miles of me are 3 bowling alleys and a few more within a half hour drive.

About 15 miles from me is Western Bowl, home of the Hoinke Classic. Ever bowl in that Mr 300 ???

usually only do the midnight bowling special at sawmill a few times a year. its like 15 bucks all you can bowl. they turn out the lights and use blacklights on the lanes and play music. we usually get drunk and bring a deck of cards for poker. everybody throws in 5 bucks you get two cards for a strike and 1 for a spare. in the winter they have dollar bowling on like tuesday night we do that occasionally. i usually bowl between 120-160
