Solid writing.In a way, it’s a quirky twist to a nice, up-from-nowhere story. A young man flees his African homeland and becomes one of the top high school football players in the nation. One of the high-profile college coaches recruiting him acts as if the worst atrocity ever committed is a turnover in the red zone.
Very strange, but who knows? Maybe in Kelly’s world, it is.
