I know but there's always a chance. No one wants to lose a called game.

Becasue you're Western Michigan and you're playing a powerhouse school...wouldn't you want to keep playing?

Pretty much what I expected today. You can't fix a defense in 5 months, going to be some rough times this year. Special ed teams need work, should have had 1 or 2 more PATs blocked, can't cover kickoffs, no return game.

That said, it's great to pick up an easy win and looks like Woolfolk is ok so no major injuries. Lots of work for both UM and ND this week.

They got their payday, doubt they want their star QB to get hammered a few more times and risk injury on a slippery field. They play UM and MSU frequently.

1. I got absolutely drenched in Michigan Stadium today.

2. The defense looked bad in the 1st and the fans were not happy.

3. Biggest thing to me.. the staff made adjustments. They blitzed and that really threw WMU off of their game plan.

4. I love Fitz's game.

5. Best (non pick 6)moment of the day... Denard walks up to the line, rain stars POURING, crowd goes INSANE. Shoelace takes 3 steps back and throws his arms up, telling us all to get louder.. place exploded. Denard walks back up, snaps the ball, hits JR Hemmingway for a 45 yd gain. Fucking awesome.

6. I like Kovacs blitzing.

7. I'm optimistic about Michigan football this year.

from a players perspective? how the fuck would you know?? LMAO!!!!

tsun was dominating, the weather was not going to let up, so it was the right thing to do...and btw, I thought tsun looked pretty good, and even though I know I said that last year, it seemed different on the sideline (from what I could tell) yesterday...and I, unfortunately, like Hoke--so far

One thing to remember about the defense early on...Mattison was playing a vanilla defense, and hoped to the whole game (so as to not give anything away for ND). Unfortunately, that is where our lack of talent showed itself. Mattison made adjustments and starting giving pressure, and it made a world of difference. That's where the hope lies.

The biggest disappointment for me was the D-line not able to generate any pressure on their own.

Roger Goodell is looking at this and is going to retroactively fine Kovak $50k when he gets to the NFL for a helmet to helmet hit:D

Alright, just stop vball...seriously, you're annoying. If you're going to do this the entire season, it's going to get old (it already has) real fast. Just STFU and do what you normally do...put a) at least one smiley in your post b)add nothing to a thread other than agreeing with someone or telling someone he is ignorant or insensitive c) put "--" somewhere in the post and d) add "have a nice day" at the end of the post.

I would like to increase your reps, but I can't. Tommy Boy messed that up.
