I've never been there, but saw it on Man Vs Food. The Wife and I plan on going there one of these years.

If she wants real German food then she'll likely be disappointing because Schmidts is Americanized German food. However, it is delicious! I ate there for the first time a few weeks ago and was not disappointed.

Yeah I think she knows that but it will be a nice change of pace anyways. Hey if she doesn't like it then it will def be Thurmans next time!!

This is Thurs and will be for lunch about 1pm if there are no delays in my flights or getting my rental car.

You should be good around that time. I would try the saugage stew they have on the buffett.

Been there like 2-3 times this summer.

I never had the Autobahn, to me paying $15 is too much for all-you-can-eat buffet. Plus, I can't get my money's worth out of it.

I think the pretzel bites appetizer is worth it. The Bahama Mama platter is awesome. Honestly, the Mama Reuben is my favorite food there right now -- probably the best Reuben I've ever had. And, I will say, a vanilla cream puff is worth it. They were out of the peanut butter ones the last time I went or I would've tried one of those. I'll get some pics up of the food here after a bit.
