I still didn't like bringing in laporta to bat for marson. Laporta hit a shallow pop up that got fukingdummy thrown out at the plate.
Actually, a good move with a bad result. Marson is just horrible with RISP...batting something like .150. La Porta, despite perception, is actually fair...hitting about .280 with RISP. Obviously, you can't argue the result and hindsight is 20/20... I think a lot of us just expect LaPorta to be better than he is considering the trade that brought him here. I don't really hate him...I'm just disappointed that he isn't better.
We need a right handed stick really badly....and if this season tanks, it's because the Front office couldn't/wouldn't make a deal for one, instead of acquiring Fukidome (another lefty) and dealing for a starting pitcher that hasn't been very helpful at all.
