Struthers Wins 28-13.. Jefferson has been having a rough time getting a team to compete... The AAC should help them get some more wins this year and there first year in next year.. Struthers should handle Jefferson and Notch a week one win!! Also beating Big Red does not hurt there confidence either!!! lol

Asher is definatly turning this team around. Talent has been there for years and i know you can say that but coaching is a huge deal in high school football.

LOL you don't have to preach to the choir here.. Campbell Is the poster child of what good coaching can do.. I'm very very proud of our coaches and what they did for the program. From everything i have seen form them at practice and definitely what they did to a very good east team should be the best devil team in 20 years... And one more thing to add here i am very very happy for the cats going down and knocking off the Big Red Machine. And yes i know there are people saying that it was not the Big Red yo will see in a regular game. But come on you went down to death valley and beat them on there own turf.. That's very impressive and nobody will change my mind on that. And coach Asher is a proven winning coach.. The cats are is very good hands now. It all going to change soon for the cats...

I agree, you can say Reno won't tip his hand all day, but you better believe he'll tip it just enough to get a 'W'. The Cats came to Death Valley knowing they deserved to be on that field. That's a credit to your new staff. If your kids show up with no confidence the game is already over.

They brought their hardhats and came to work and they made a Freakin Campbell boy proud. Way to rep the AAC and the Mahoning Valley! - and good luck against Jefferson. No letdowns. Don't play up or down to your compitition.....play your game and week 10 will be electric!

I also agree. The "electricity" is definitely coming back. Last year was a prime example.

Struthers 21 Jefferson Area 7

I see bright things for both Campbell and Struthers.
My prediction: Campbell 10-0 and a long run in the playoffs.
See if I'm right!:D

I caught a little bit of the Jefferson-Niles scrimmage. I left after each team had about 4 series, with Jefferson up 7-0. My reaction was that Niles has the ability to be competitive, and I was impressed with the effort and toughness of Jefferson. Their front line played very well on both sides of the ball while I was there.

Word is... Jefferson has some real size up front, but they struggle in the running game. Their 2 best RBs from last year won't be a factor. One didn't come out for football, and the other broke his foot last week.

Their QB is a play maker, but it's unclear if they have enough talent around him.

If the Cats dominate the line, and contain JA's QB, it could get ugly.

Lakeview ate Jefferson alive the 1st scrimmage. Wasn't close at all. If they keep it close with Struthers, it will mean trouble for Cats season.

A first scrimmage doesnt really show much. Esp with a team who got a new QB.

I did get it from JJ, from someone in Jefferson. His tune all along has been that their line gets pushed around though. All the talk has been about Struthers so far. I just thought it'd be fair to say what Jefferson has.

Last I checked, Struthers doesn't play Lakeview every week, following the JA game. Thanks for your concern though.

Struthers barely beat 1-9 BL last year, and everyone picked Liberty to win the next week. What happened?

Lakeview tore up the majority of their schedule last year, and they're everyone's preseason pick to win the AAC White this year. No surprise they picked up where they left off...

I won't give a score, but I do like Struthers to win big.

Jefferson will compete but not this year. They have had there success before and the problem is they dont get enough players out with the talent to succeed. Struthers wins big.. I cant see it any other way. Struthers has a lot of talent coming back and the addition of Asher as the head coach only means success for the cats. Cant imagine them not beating at least 6 teams this year. And if they get rolling early they could make a bid for week 11. They probably need to get past Campbell and we all know the history there. There is no books that count at that game! Anything could happen and we all know that. Good luck Cats I'm actually rooting for you to have some success this year. Just not in week 10! LOL :p

Some one should get a Twitter account for the Wildcats. Lets_go_Devils has one for Campbell. He calls it @We_Are_Campbell and he will be giving live updates to the game and scores and other stuff. He sits in the very best seat in the house. That seat is legendary and Campbell fans know why!! So that is a good idea for someone that has a smart phone cause with a Twitter app you just punch in and send and not miss a single minute of the game. Its very simple to use. And when a big play or a score happens you get a timely message as if you was right there. Try it out someone! Bet the Struthers strong that cant make the game would appreciate it very much. I know I would...
