I just got done watching Friday Night Lights on TNT. What do you think is the best football movie? I'm sure I'll forget an important one... which will of course lead to an LOLFAIL-SELFPWN!

I'm a big fan of Friday Night Lights, but love Remember the Titans as well.

What say you?

I also watched FNL tonight on TNT. Good stuff, probably my second favorite football movie after the GOAT.

Remember the Titans was easily the best movie I've ever seen where football was central to the plot. I did enjoy The Program a lot.

While not a "football" movie per se, The Last Boy Scout was a great flick that centered on Pro Football.

FNL (although the show was a lot better than the movie). Remember the Titans is a great movie, but it's really a movie about race and how football helped a town come together and overcome racism. FNL is a movie that's really about football and how it permeated every aspect of life in Odessa. In RTT race was primary, in FNL the football was primary.

You included the biggest 2, though Brians Song should be on there.

But I go Remember the Titans, and then Rudy. FNL and Brians Song 3rd and 4th.

Big fan of Friday Night Lights. Like what the author of the book said, you couldn't make up a better story. I like Remember the Titans, but I wasn't the biggest fan of how they ended the State Championship game and the very end could have been better. Friday Night Lights really captured what it's like to play HS football under the magnifying glass of a community with sky-high expectations. Any of us former HS football players could relate to at least one facet of that movie.

Honestly, my favorite is "Possums" from 1998. Rudy, FNL, etc are good. But there's something about Possums that I find enjoyable.
