Charlie is a beast offensively.

I'd welcome him with open arms. Esp. since he oversaw the two quarterbacks who are Top 2 in damn near every QB related record.

I wonder if Charlie would come to Cleveland knowing the feud between the Hoodie and Mangini. I know it's died down some recently but there are still hard feelings.

With Rob Ryan as DC and Weis as OC, Mangini would just need to stay out of the way. Weis would be a substantial upgrade over Daboll.

that would be a smart move for weis and cleveland . he has coached brady quinn and knows his capabilities and can get some good weapons around him and make him an average or above average qb

If Weis would come in. The Browns will have an Irish QB next year. Quinn or Clausen will be the QB.

As offensive coordinator and with his former QB (who he knows better than anyone) yeah ok. But NOT as head coach.

When are we gonna finally realize the Belichek tree just isnt working out for us??? Maybe Weis as O-Cord.

LOL @ the people against it. You certainly can't say he wouldn't be better than what is there now.

I think he'd do well in a few years if they got him some players. He'd be a good choice. And get Ryan some players on defense and that unit will be tough--he's done well this year, but he needs more talent.

The offense needs lots of work, and I think Weis can help the Browns. Honestly, I am not sure Mangini will be back next year as head coach. Personally, I hope he is not. While Weis has shown that he is not a good head caoch, can he really be any worse than what they have had?

Mangini needs to be back as head coach or this cycle will keep repeating itself. Can't keep cycling through QB's and head coaches--have to stick with someone. I would NOT judge Mangini on this season, let him bring in a nice big bunch of rookies next year and give him a few years--honestly, what do you have to lose? Who the hell else are you going to get to coach the team?

You do if your coach isn't good....Mangini is just not a good coach, and giving him extra years will just set the franchise back even further. You fire him after the season, weather the media storm and ridicule, and do things the RIGHT way. Hire a well respected candidate for GM/VP of operations, then trust him to have the biggest say in the hiring of a new coach. Then you stick with that decision. I don't see the point of keeping Mangini, it's obvious that he has no idea what the hell he's doing.
