Every single student in every single school is recruited to that school. In some schools it's easy, because they're free (and attendance is mandatory). Others have to work at it, because you have to pay to go there.
"The best of the best", huh? So what you're really saying is that only public schools should be permitted to exist. Otherwise, it's just not fair. Because other schools (including Catholic schools), who have to recruit students harder because the schools aren't free, find the best of the best. And that's not fair. And some of those students actually develop into pretty good athletes because they're disciplined, motivated and well coached. And that's not fair. And they tend to win a disproportionate number of championships because they choose a school that demands more of them. And that's not fair. And they tend to do well in life. And that's not fair. Some people actually earn enough money to give themselves a choice where their kids are going to be educated because they do more than what average people do for others, and they scrape the funds together to send their kids to schools where they have to pay. And that's not fair.
Comrade Skank, welcome to the Union of Socialist States of America. Why don't we all just share the misery, keep the inner city kids in underperforming schools because it's "fair", and award everyone a state championship trophy. That way it's "fair". And everybody accomplishes the same thing - nothing. Starvation and suffering are widespread, and personal initiative are totally gone. But it's "fair". You have a loser attitude, Comrade. You need to change your ****ty outlook on life.
