Yeah, heard on the radio that before this game, he gave up 18 runs in two outings this year. But before that, he had owned the sox in his career

Huge win tonight with our boy going tomorrow. Great chance to steal this series from these assholes.

Big time win, and big time effort from Fausto.

If Masterson can get the W tomorrow, this will be a HUGELY successful series. After last night, I thought for sure we would need to win tomorrow to steal 1 game.

This may have been the biggest win this season. These guys have had our number this year and Fausto owned them when we needed it badly. 2 games back with Masterson going tomorrow.

Agreed. The games just get bigger and bigger though now. Tigers games were biggest a week ago. Now they will be again coming up. And so on and so forth.

Yep, and a win tomorrow will get us a .5 game closer since Detroit is idle.

finally broke the stranglehold that the sox held over the tribe...about time. it'd be great to get a series win tomorrow with masterson on the hill - just give him some damn run support already!!

Just checked the standings. How did Detroit get so far ahead of us in games played? I know. Still, it's amazing.

Well we are at least tied with the Kitties on losses. Here's hoping we bring a win in tomorrow!

^^^^Masterson is not an ace yet, but he has shown that he is becoming one. There was some discussion among the radio guys yesterday that "top to bottom" the Indians rotation is as solid as anyone's....and I agree with that. Fausto, Ubaldo, and Justin all have 'ace' potential... what is needed is for one to show consistency outing after outing. Nobody was even talking Tomlin, who might not have the 'stuff', but really has been the most consistent of any of them. The Tribe really has a pretty good staff.

Another horrible nite for the umpiring crew. Those guys are an embarrassment to the profession.

With the way he's pitched, he's the ace of THIS staff, right now imo. Hard luck loser should probably have a good 15+ wins.

Yeah, there was a stretch of like 7 starts where the offense averaged under 2 runs of support. He very easily could have 15+ wins right now and be in the Cy Young discussions. He is the Ace of our staff IMO.

Great job by fausto last night. This game will go a long way for his confidence. It sucks we don't have masterson going against detriot but we got a solid staff going. Huff has been lights out and Tomlin has also. Now we just need Ubaldo to bring his ace ability Sunday vs Verlander

I read a story of how Masterson made it possible (with the help of his team) to send Hannahan home for the birth of his child. Masterson is a leader in the clubhouse and I'm sure the other kids love batting behind him. Hopefully run support will benefit him the rest of the season!!!

As of right now, Verlander is scheduled to go Monday as Detroit isnt skipping anyone in their rotation. I would think Leyland would change that, but as of now, we miss JV.

Yeah, as of now we face Scherzer, Fister, and Porcello. But I wouldn't be surprised to see JV on sunday.

We will see Verlander Sunday no doubt. Especially if we take the first 2. No way they don't pitch him with first place on the line in that game.
