8/16 lineup vs CWS: Brantley LF, Choo RF, Cabrera SS, Hafner DH, Santana 1B, Fukudome CF, Donald 2B, Chisenhall 3B, Marson C, Jimenez P

Brantley back in the line-up, Kipnis still out. Can this team ever get everyone healthy? I can't remember the last time they played what you would consider starters at each position.

Tigers will win. We picked up a game without playing, so that helps. But we need Ubaldo tonight so as not to give that free game right back. Plus, we need to win game one so the Sox dont think they are in this thing. Set the tone early.

Defense garbage to put them in a hole. And I don't want to hear anyone claim floyd is that good....pitches are down the damn middle of the plate and they aren't swinging.

Also, ubalto is a decent number 3 starter, but he is not an ace....not in the american league anyhow. friendly contract makes this ok....unless the two prospects we gave up turn out to be studs.

Jimenez has no command. His location is terrible. He's missed Marson's target by the width of the plate on several pitches. On a night we needed him to be good, he hasn't been.

That's the problem. You don't trade your top 2 pitching prospects for a number 3 pitcher. He was brought in to be a top of the rotation guy. He hasn't showed it in 2 of the 3 times he's pitched.

Great outing under pressure and great defense to give him a chance to settle in. sometimes, this team just looks disinterested. Gavin floyd is garbage...plain and simple. What happens when buehrle gets a shot at this shitty offense?
