Could've waited until the end of the preseason but ehh what the hell.

AFC East

y-New York Jets 11-5
x-New England 11-5
Buffalo 6-10
Miami 5-11

Two team race, obviously. It may come down to divisional tiebreaker. Jets are due to get a bye or at least a home playoff game.

AFC North

z-Baltimore 12-4
Cleveland 10-6...Schedule sets up nicely. Check it out.
Pittsburgh 9-7...Hate to say it but this is going to be an up and down season. Key injuries and not the right focus level.
Cincinnati 3-13

AFC South

y-Indianapolis 10-6
x-Houston 10-6...Yep, finally. It will come down to the Texans and Browns for final wild card spot.
Jacksonville 6-10
Tennessee 5-11

AFC West

y-San Diego 9-7...Either them or KC but it won't matter in the playoffs.
Kansas City 8-8
Oakland 5-11
Denver 5-11

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

NFC East

y-Philadelphia 11-5
x-Dallas 10-6
N.Y. Giants 9-7
Washington 7-9

NFC North

y-Green Bay 11-5...No drop off. Team is loaded offensively and defensively.
Chicago 8-8...I think they'll take a step back.
Minnesota 8-8
Detroit 7-9...Not quite yet.

NFC South

z-New Orleans 12-4...Going back and forth on this one. I like the Saints defense and I think it's unlikely the Falcons have a regular season like last year. They'll have a couple more slip ups.
x-Atlanta 11-5
Tampa Bay 6-10...Overrated.
Carolina 3-13

NFC West

y-St. Louis 8-8
Arizona 7-9
Seattle 7-9
San Francisco 5-11

------------------------------------------------------------------

AFC Wild Card

(6) Houston at (3) Indianapolis...Colts win 30-27
(5) New England at (4) San Diego...Patriots win 26-17

AFC Divisional Playoffs

(3) Indianapolis at (2) New York Jets...Colts win 19-16
(5) New England at (1) Baltimore...Patriots win 27-23

I'm thinking the Jets and Ravens end up with home field. Two teams that have had trouble with that. But then they'll choke anyway and it will be the Colts and Patriots again.

AFC Championship

(5) New England at (3) Indianapolis...Patriots win 35-28

Having a hard time with this one. Whenever the Steelers, Patriots or Colts have a down year they usually bounce right back with a deep playoff run. That makes the Colts dangerous this year. But making it to the Super Bowl in Indy might be too good to be true.

-------------------------------------------------------------------

NFC Wild Card

(6) Dallas at (3) Philadelphia...Eagles win 41-20
(5) Atlanta at (4) St. Louis...Falcons win 30-13

NFC Divisional Playoffs

(3) Philadelphia at (2) Green Bay...Packers win 30-24
(5) Atlanta at (1) New Orleans...Falcons win 28-23

NFC Championship

(5) Atlanta at (2) Green Bay...Packers win 27-13

Huge buildup to this game but the Packers end up pulling away with the home crowd. It will be the primetime game.

--------------------------------------------------------

Super Bowl XLVI

Too early for me to predict but I'll temper my enthusiasm about the Browns. I WILL predict their their offense will be light years above the Mangini era. McCoy looks like he was born for this WCO. Defense concerns me greatly. Little pass rush and Sheldon Brown could be this years' Eric Wright (burnt toast).

As far as the AFC North goes, I do think Pittsburgh will take a step back only because I see this as the year that Roethlisberger finally goes down with a season ending injury due to that O-Line. He already got his hand dinged up in that first preseason outing. They will regroup but I wonder about potential injuries with older guys (Hampton, Polamalu, Harrison, Ward....although I think they'll start phasing Ward out).

I don't see Baltimore running away with the division either. They just aren't that good. They are getting old and their QB is far from clutch.

Cincinnati looks like a complete abortion but they have a young QB and still have time to get it together.

Of the division, the only team that I usually think is a "given" loss is the Steelers. Always think they have a shot against Baltimore & Cincy.

Don't really care about the rest of the league right now. Just hoping the Browns are on their way back to respectability.

I just enjoy the cameras showing Shurmur and him looking like a real NFL head coach.

I wasn't sold on McCoy last year and although it was the first preseason game he really provided some optimism. Might actually be excited to watch the Browns on Sunday mornings again.

Carolina might be better than I had now that I think about it.

A QB could make a big difference there. The team is solid otherwise.

I think Ben will have a good year, sort of carrying the Steelers while trying to survive, but eventually it will catch up to him.

Browns W/L

Cincinnati - W 1-0
at Indianapolis - L 1-1
Miami - W 2-1
Tennessee - W 3-1
at Oakland - W 4-1
Seattle - W 5-1
at San Franciso - L 5-2...I think they'll lose to either Oakland or San Fran on the road.
at Houston - L 5-3

St. Louis - W 6-3
Jacksonville - W 7-3
at Cincinnati - W 8-3
Baltimore - W 9-3

at Pittsburgh - L 9-4
at Arizona - L 9-5
at Baltimore - L 9-6
Pittsburgh - W 10-6

The finale against Pittsburgh will have both teams needing to win to keep their wild card hopes alive.

Steelers will miss the playoffs.
Browns will finish around .500 (no better than 9-7, no worse than 7-9)
My Cowboys will be back in the playoffs.
The Bengals will have the worst record in the NFL.
The Eagles will win the Super Bowl, with Vince Young more than likely the starter. Vick is one of my favorite players, but is just too injury prone.

No way the Browns finish with 10 wins. I will take 8-8 as their ceiling, and frankly a success for the year. No depth, and they are young. If they get to a hot start, their age will have them taper off at the end, because they are too young to finish a season strong imo.

As long as Stafford stays healthy, I really think the Lions take up a NFC playoff spot. I honestly hope they are a good team. The Thanksgiving game might actually be entertaining this year.

One thing I can say confidently AND happily about the Browns is that this squad isn't a bunch of 60 year old free agents playing out the string (last fat contract) like in recent years. These guys will be young (went from one of the oldest to one of the youngest teams in a year), hungry & competitive (at least amongst themselves). There will be a lot of "brainfarts/mistakes." Will it equate to a lot of W's THIS year? No idea but they should be fun to watch in the near future.

Well just consider who's predicting them to 10-6. Since's he's been stuck to the Pirates and Pitt I'm sure it skews his perception.

Theyre still gonna finish 4th in that division lol. They have almost no shot of beating out TB, ATL or NO

As a Bears fan I don't predict wins and losses, just sacks. That stat seems to be a pretty good indicator of how well my fall and winter go. The replay of the Bills game is on tonight at seven so I'll have to watch the first half before I throw a number out there, but if what I read on ESPN Chicago is worth anything, Jay Cutler might as well retire like Big Z and get on Dancing with the Stars.

Indy misses the playoffs as the Texans take over that division. Houston just has too much talent to continue to be mediocre.

I also really like Tampa Bay this year. Freeman is a stud.

I take it the Texans are deep at safety with letting a decent player like Bernard Pollard go? You just may be right about Indy. I'm leaning towards Pittsburgh and the Jets grabbing the wild cards so that would cut Indy out. I also concur about Freeman.
