My son's name is Dalton. Last night, in my drunkenness, I found myself looking for Andy "dalton" jerseys/shirts from the Bengals in his size. Does this take away my fanhood or is this normal? Luckily, the Bengals still think Carson Palmer is the quarterback, because he was the only QB jersey I could find...

If it helps any, I'm really enjoying this Bengals debacle as we speak.

the names usually aren't on the back of college jerseys. I guess I could just customize a Browns jersey, but for whatever reason, I feel like I'm breaking a man-law if I were to do that.

Not exactly the same, but I am a Browns fan, but I have my favorite players jersey....Matt Hasselbeck.

To be serious, I don't think it affects your fandom... I wouldn't buy my daughter another teams jersey (I guess unless she grew up liking another team, but that's a problem in itself meaning that I failed as a parent), but I see your unusual circumstance, seeing as how it's your boys name..

However, solve the problem by getting him a custom Browns jersey?

I thought that too. With the $109 price tag, I thought "Maybe the Bengals aren't that unlikeable"

Chances are, Dalton will be a bust and his jersey's will be like $10 next year... win win.
