Which would be better than them convincing him to give the Cryptic Writings/Risk style another go...

Wow this would be sweet. Musically speaking, Mustaine and Hetfield are amazing writers I would LOVE to hear this.

Quotes like this on every fourm are what annoys the hell out of me. I don't understand what makes people feel the need to comment on stuff to blatantly piss people off. This post isn't even trolling. What's the need to have to comment on something if you don't like it is your life that s h i t t y and boring you feel you had to comment on this?

Rant over. I have been feeling the new to do that for a while

wonder if it will make up for the Lou Reed album. I was really excited when I first heard about Loutallica, but then I watched the live performance and realized it would probably be horrible. Mustaine, Hetfield, and Ellefson might work, but they will need a far more talented and innovative drummer. Lars used to be alright, but now he's really just good for arrangements, maybe he should produce this album.

Metallica has been HORRIBLE since Cliff died (Master of Puppets). Garage Days was ok but everything after that was "pop oriented" (for the masses) shit. As has been frequently mentioned, Selloutica.

BRF did you somehow get hit in the head by a rock when ...And Justice for All came out??? That album is absolutely awesome (I'm a big Prog metal/rock guy, so it being their most proggy album draws me to it). Also, Metallica's latest CD is much better than anything made in the 90's, and I bet you would like it if you heard it and didnt automatically think "its metallica and its not the 80's anymore so its going to blow".

Im a big Megadeth fan as well, as I mentioned Mustaine writes amazing guitar leads. I give this "supergroup" about a 20% chance of actually happening, but hey crazier s#@ has happened.

There is a reason Metallica is in the RRHOF and Megadeth never will be. Megadeth all sounds the same. Metallica experimented and evolved. Now, some people don't like, and that is fine. But most of it was still good music even though it wasn't bangin' metal.

Of course a metal fan comparing MoP to Garage days is going to hate that stuff. But compare the newer stuff to the same type of music, and Metallica still ruled.

ABBA and the Bee Gee's are in the RRHOF. That makes the entire thing a joke. :)

I beg to differ, Metallica has sucked since after And Justice for All ;), I am even "ok" with the black album, but after that is has all been crap.

I will say this, Death Magnetic was very close to being good like MoP, RtL, AJFA, etc.

Megadeth and Metallica already collaborated on one song, "Trust" was on one of Megadeth's albums and it was rather good.
