Italian Sausage or a Stromboli...

Normally a huge Gaggy's fan @ the state fair but was extremely disappointed with the product this year....

20 times the size of Bidwell.

This is my biggest complaint about the Ross County Fair, their entertainment has gone waaayyyy down hill. We've gone from having really good music acts to having really bad ones over the last 10 years, and no explanation has really be given as to why.

se-alum : I remember when they brought in pretty good acts. I saw Aaron Tippin, Tracy Bird and Sawyer Brown back in the day and they were all big country names at the time.

We came into Chillicothe Saturday night and drove down 207 and I really wanted to go but our time was extremely limited and wasn't logical to stop.

Yep, saw all those plus Kenny Chesney and Confederate Railroad.

Love me some pepperoni sticks. :D The bonus now my kids can drive is to make them bring me one home. I get the food and don't even have to go to the fair.

I like the lemonade shake-ups. All the sugar at the bottom is the best!

Food wise, I have to go with a Philly cheesesteak. That's about the extent of what I eat, if I were to go to one. I haven't been to a county fair since 2004 though.

Our local fair is the Clark County fair. We made the mistake of going to the demolition derby lat year. It was TERRIBLE! We're catching one in a different county this year.

I do love me some fair food though. This year I also became a member of the Clark County Agricultural Society as I entered some baked and canned goods in the show. I even managed to win some ribbons! It was really just an excuse to be able to go to the fair more than one time so I could eat :x

Mercer County Fair, probably the worst of them all, does have a very good butterfly porkchop.

Of course.....elephant ears are always a big hit.
A stand by the grandstand has been there since I been a little kid and has excellent root beer floats. The ohter longtime stand next to that has warm roasted peanuts that always hit the spot.

You can usually whip through the MC fair in 30 minutes. Demo night brings out alot of the more 'interesting' people from the area! Dont get sucked into the ole 'figure 8' demo derby. They usually suck balls

Unfortunately I have to agree with you Voice. Possibly because there's not a lot of industry and business to help support it and therefore bring in good entertainment to draw people. They're lucky to have 4-H.

I like the fair food but can't bring myself to shell that kind of cash for it. We support the Pork Producers, FFA and Cattleman's Ass. stands. Cheaper and the money stays local.

Hartford Fair!

Great food, decent rides, good entertainment and crowds aren't bad if u go early!

My 19 month old son loved the kiddie train ride and the 4H animals.
