This umpire is garbage. He may be calling it both ways but it doesn't mean he still isn't terrible. Duncan looked like he was going to attack him.

Agree about Carmona. Pitched very well. Couple grounders just placed in the right spot cost a few runs along with the squeeze. Other then that only 2 or 3 balls were really hit well. ALso the error in the first cost him a run. Hopefully we can get a couple more and take this

And he just had a 10 pitch inning.

Duncan acted like a fool....but he didn't get tossed? Either the ump agreed he missed it or he's scared of the big ugly.

That pitch should have been ripped. I don't know what Pronk was looking for there.

SMH....

Santana can't catch or stop a ball whether he is at first or catching. That error was costly tonight.

Umpires were horrible the whole way around....bad and missed calls all night.

hopefully Choo will be back this week and his bat is alive.

Hafner needs to start swinging the bat again. He has been useless recently. Agreed with Santana, he needs to learn how to play one of those positions.

He was thinking anything that starts at the knees that he's not biting because it's going down hard....being able to slingshot a fastball in their at height....there is some merit to that guy being 33/33 in save chances.

Where ya been BRF? It's been a 3 team race for about 2 weeks now lol.

As for the game, you can't really be too disappointed. We gained a game in the standings, we have 47 games remaining and 9 of those against the Tigers...

We're only 3 back and our team has looked pretty good over the last few series.

Also, Asdrubal and Santana got into a pretty heated argument in the dugout. But I like that. These guys are in the heat of the moment and are challenging each other. When a guy makes a mistake, let him know. Santana will get better because of that.

Also, remember when people were saying we were winning meaningless games in April/May? Well, those "meaningless" games sure as hell are helping us right now.

Oh and Fabulous Fausto may be back.. He's had a good start every time he;s been out since coming off the DL. His slider was filthy tonight as well.

The pitch was right down the middle in Hafner's nitro zone. It should have landed in Pronksville. But he isn't swinging the bat right now. He seems to be taking good pitches and swinging at pitches out of the zone., which is totally not like him. He usually has a very good eye.

Dang it....things were playing right into my prediction. They hung close to Verlander but just couldn't rally late after he was out of the game.

Don't know about that. He spotted the best pitcher in baseball a 4 run lead. Granted, one of those weren't his fault. Kinda hard to overcome that type of deficit against Verlander.

I don't really blame Fausto for last night mostly because they scored due to a brainfart by Santana and a couple of perfectly placed groundballs. To his credit he didn't let those get to him and he managed to hold them at 4 for the next 5 innings.

MY GOD. Good news fans. The Indians are showing signs of life for the first time in weeks. Looks like Santana is carrying his left a little low. That could hurt him in the later rounds.

Did anyone notice Santana blow off Kipnis the other day after they both almost collided trying to catch a foul ball behind first base? Santana caught the ball, but from what it looked like, Kipnis was calling for it and said something to him and Santana just shrugged his shoulders like he could give two shits as he ran back to the infield and Kipnis just stood there looking at him.

Would have loved to have gotten a W last night, but I'll take 2 of 3. Going into this series the Tribe could have been 7 GB after last night's game. The schedule the rest of the month isn't too difficult. Other than the White Sox and Tigers on the road, Tribe has the upcoming series against the Twins at home, and home against Seattle, Kansas City, and Oakland.

13 home games the rest of this month against teams a combined 60 games under .500.
