idk if a nose gaurd has that big of an impact i mean i have never played american football in my life nor do i know much about it i just thought logically speaking the person in the middle of the field can create a lot of havoc if he is not blocked or several yards back in backfield.... or if you have to use several players to block him from not getting to the backfield then that means others are roaming the field unblocked, but once again i have no idea what a football even looks like im pretty sure only people from orrville are true football players please teach us how to play this game you call football on the 26th :)

Call me the grammar police all you want, but some of these posts are almost unreadable.

Looking forward to the entire NW staff at the Orrville-Louisville scrimmage. Take notes because we're opening up the playbook.

I find it hilarious that when a NW poster puts something up about being good, or big or fast...all of the Orrville guys jump on it like we don't think they are a worthy opponent.

It is the exact same when Orrville guys post the same thing.

Come on people, we all think our teams are great, that is the reason we are called FANS (short for Fanatical). As such, don't get your panties in such a bunch when somebody supports their own team, or thinks they can beat the other team.

funny thing is as I re-read all the posts from this game thread only NW is crowing how good they are and the Red Rider base is very cautious to crow about anything. One base from a team that struggled last year and the other from a State semifinalist. Either NW is THAT good (which I find hard to determine yet) or we are THAT unsettled. Maybe some of both. I just don't know how you can have that much confidence? Guess we will find out in 10 days. Should be fun.

Anyone speaking with any confidence about how they KNOW how their team will play next week doesnt get a lot of credit from me....because no one knows. Week 1 adds in jitters to go with uncertainty.

Some kids shrink under the Friday Night Lights, some rise to the occasion.

Heck after week 9 (shutout loss to Clear Fork), we swore our Riders were doomed to a 1-and-done in the playoffs and we ended up 1 game from the state finals. And that was WEEK NINE...this is week 1 we're all talking about.

i dont think anyone is pounding there chest. i just see the Northwest people had to live a year with a 4-6 record. we are ready yo improve on that record

Orrville posters you have talked sense into the world. I retract all my statements about Northwest being big or fast, I am not sure what I meant with those comments. NW will be lucky to win 4 games again this year. I hope they can pull a few first downs out against the Riders.

This is how you would like people to post, rider faithfull??

I agree with some of the posts above. NW posters are just glad that last year's poor season is over and we are LOOKING LIKE we should have a very solid team. That is all!

With that said...here is my score prediction:

NW: 77
Orr: 10

No, Jv's would be in in the second quarter and freshman/jr high is pretty much the entire 2nd half.

It's pretty hard to top the cockiness of the comet fans.
