Just another example of what was once a respected sports department.

Season Preview for Orrville here in case you haven't seen.

Congrats to orrville. You beat us in every sense of the game. I'll take my crow well done. That isn't the team we were hyped to be. Game made me sick. Guess I shouldn't have talked them up so much without seeing them.God luck the rest of the year! You have a great team! You should have a solid year!

Leg cramps on both sides, but I thought we were we'll conditioned physically and played hard the whole way. Some work needed on the extra point offense. Highlights were Brenner's rundown on the pass play and Monheim's running game. I didn't doubt Mason, but there were questions about the o line and with Davis out would we have a lead blocker and I think those were answered. Good Luck to NW. They have a very difficult schedule and we'll be rooting for them.

Whoa! There are a few changes around here on the posting business. That's hard for an old fella like me to get used to.

But one thing that isn't hard to get used to is beating Northwest in the first game.

Thanks for the kind words! Just remember though that the expections never change in Rider country no matter what year it is and all the hype in Orrville is the same and has been for years!!! We always talk our teams up because thats what we expect, a good football team. When you speak those words to us next year, expect the same chat on here and the same result on the field!!!

Sloppy, long game...but a win is a win is a win.

Six different Red Riders scored TD's tonight.

NWindian,
I would hope you're a small minority of NW fans. You should know that no win over Orrville comes easy. Tribe had a 14-0 spot and got outscored 41-13 after that.

Good luck the rest of the way.

Riders have work to do. Special teams, kicking game at the top of that list.

Any stats RR1? Seniors led us back tonight. When it was gut check time those turned it onto NW and smacked them in the mouth on our first TD drive. Bodies flying everywhere and stiff arms galore. It was a different game from that point on. Young guys followed suit. Got some great play from many linemen all night even though we were very undersized we were tenacious. I figure we played almost the entire second half w/o Lemmon and Zook. That is like four guys for us and we still handled a very good ball club. I am always amazed how Whiting always abandons his game plan when they are down??? works for us though. Great job fellas. You made Red Rider Nation proud tonight
