I guess its time for my daily "complain about Acta" but...

Indians lineup tonight: Carrera CF, Kipnis 2B, Cabrera SS, Santana C, LaPorta 1B, Fukudome RF, Duncan DH, Kearns LF and Donald 3B.

Why the hell is Duncan (who I thought was in Columbus) not playing left (if you want him to play) and Hafner not in, even though he got 3 hits off of lefties yesterday. Not having your best hitter in the lineup is total bullshit.

Edit to add: Hanahan is on paternity leave for the upcoming birth of his daughter.

Wow what a joke of a lineup. Fuck this it is god damn august and your 3 games back now isn't the time to give hafner a rest.

Same.

And I fully expect him to pitch very well for us.

My son absolutely loved the Ubaldo trade. That will cost him his will money some day. Like all trades, only time will tell. If Jimunez somehow reverts to his preemo form of early last year, then the trade will be worth it.

And what's the deal with David Huff? Last year he ruined tribe baseball every fifth day. He was beyond turrible. What I saw in Boston (didn't see the other 2 games he pitched) was a completely different pitcher. The man has a nasty, nasty hook that breaks 4 feet with some serious grab. And...he had contoil of it all night. Last year, it was 90% one fingers....either off the plate or right down the middle. Wackkkk.

Did we really demote this guy after he gave up only one lousy, stinking earned run over 3 starts? Really?

I thought this road trip would completely ruin us....but I'll take 3 out of 7 and then stay interested.

Huff got sent down because they don't want to lose an option year for Carrasco. With Ubaldo joining the rotation we needed to move somebody. Most likely Carrasco will get one more start after his suspension then get sent down after August 13th and Huff will be brought back up. Then on September 1st when rosters expand we can bring Carrasco back up and not lose his option year.

To answer your other question, Huff has looked great in his 3 starts. What he did in Boston is what he did the previous two as well. If he can keep it up will play a huge role in our playoff push.

I agree with Footwedge on the line up. You guys know I like Duncan and he should be in left. Pronk should be in the line up every day!

You guys also know that I, also, wasn't a fan of the trade. But I have to accept it and hopefully it turns out good. It will be interesting to see how Ubaldo "Sweet Jesus" Jimenez handles tonight's pressure.

Santana hits so much better from the right side....and he finally figured out his swing and taking the pitch the other way.

He does seem to stay on the ball better from the right side.

Ubaldo in trouble already... texas scoring on a double, stolen base, and a bad attempt at blocking a pitch by santana.

Looks like a 6-9 pitcher to me. Where's Alex White when you need him?

Good come back to get out of that mess.

Saw some good stuff in the 2 strike outs. Hopefully he can get in a better groove, throwing more strikes.
