Saw a movie in theatre for the first time in a while. Went and saw The Conjuring with the wife and another couple. I'm no fan of scary movies, but the fact that this was based on a true story is freaky.

"Scary" movies tend to be the ones that use those words very loosely!

Saw "The Butler" considering the cast thought it was just ok. Expect Oprah to get an Oscar nomination..mainly because she's Oprah

Read today that the real Butler basically had nothing in common with the movie version of the butler

It's been a while since I've been on.

I thought 2 Guns was pretty entertaining. Wahlberg and Denzel work well together. I also enjoyed Bill Paxton's role.
I thoroughly enjoyed We're the Millers. Anniston is so damn sexy at 44.
I wasted my money on You're Next yesterday. What a complete joke of a movie.

I may check out Kick Ass 2 in the next few days. I'm looking forward to Insidious II next month.

Did anyone catch Kick Ass 2? I thought it was ok but like most sequels it came up short. I thought Jim Carrey and Christopher Mintz Plasse (spelling?) made the movie. I think part of the reason that made the first one so popular was the Hit Girl character and she was in it half as much as she was in the first if I remember correctly. I also thought it was funny they threw a gay superhero in the mix. I'm assuming it was a political statement but funny to me none the less. There was also an over the top character named Mother Russia who seemed to be invincible for most of the movie.

KickAss 2 was pretty lame and not nearly as funny as the original. The girl made the first one and like someone else said, her screen time is down in this one.

Went and saw "Now You See Me" on Labor Day. Thought it was a pretty good movie and worth the $1.50 it cost. Wasn't really expecting that ending.

^ Carell looks great in that. I don't follow wrestling at all, but I would watch it based on the trailer alone.
