New England made a trade for Albert Haynesworth earlier this morning. They gave up a 5th Round Draft Pick in 2013 to get Haynesworth.

They weren't finished though. They also made a trade to get #85 from Cincinnati. I know they gave up a draft pick, but I'm not sure what round it was. Ocho-Cinco caught 12 passes for 120+ yards and a TD in last year's opener against New England. Cincinnati lost the game 24-38.

Are Haynesworth and Johnson too far gone, or can the Hoody work his magic again and get the most out of the two disgruntled veterans.

Ohio can't get a break. Cleveland lost Lebron, Columbus lost Tressel, now Cincy loses Chad lol.

Good riddance.

If there is a guy who can make it work with Chad Johnson, it's Bellichick. It might be a great move for the Pats. They are great at buying low and selling high.

Johnson will probably be unbearable over the next week or so though

Well the Bengals lost Johnathan Joseph to the Texans..... Even though JJ wanted to return it was hard for Mike Brown to find the money to offer him with only being $40M under that cap and all

This could cement Chad's place in the Hall of Fame.

Haynesworth and Ocho will both have career years. Unreal how teams cave for New England.

It's not unreal. It's Belichick. Man of genius.

Which wacked out players became Super Bowl Champs under him? They didn't win the Super Bowl when Randy Moss was there.

Super Bowl Champs may have been a stretch. It's fair to say he turns players around though. They play to their maximum potential when they go to New England.

Rodney Harrison and Corey Dillon. 2/3 have gotten rings, and Moss had one of the best years any receiver has ever had since Jerry Rice in '87 (it was 1987, right?).

I think it was actually better than Jerry Rice's season. Simply because Moss set the TD receiving record. Not to mention the fact that it was on the SAME PASS the Brady broke the TD passing record.

It's close. Rice caught 22 TDs in only 12 games though.

I say Rice in '87 #1, and Moss in '07 #2.

Another crazy stat from 2007. Wes Welker had 100+ receptions, 1000+ yards, and 8 TDs to pair with Moss's 98 receptions, 1000+ yards, and 23 TDs. I'm not sure, but didn't Maroney go over 1000 yards on the ground too? He had to have been close.

2007 Pats had the greatest offense in NFL history.

I still think Rice had the best receiving year in 1987 though.

I was close. Maroney had 835 yards rushing, despite missing 3 games with an injury.

I don't disagree with the "turning players around in NE" thing at all. I just wondered which players you were talking about as far as "problem players" that Belichick took on and won it all with.

BTrev-Not sure Harrison was a problem in San Diego (other than fines for hits) prior to him becoming a Pat but I could be forgetting something. I'll concede Dillon though. He seemed like he was becoming a problem in the locker room toward the end of his playing days in Cincy if I remember correctly. Good call there.

Moss did keep quiet and play hard in New England for a good while when he was there. Obviously had an amazing season but fell short of winning it all that year. Sometimes it feels like the Patriots have won a Super Bowl more recently than they have due to their consistent success.

Another chess move by the Pats . While everybody else is playing checkers ... Those guys will kick ass this year and the AFC east between the Jets and the Pats will likely be the Super Bowl representitive
