That .270 average puts him top 3 with us. I'm guessing they get him cheap and its to address the fact they only have 4 outfielders on roster

People bash on the Indians front office, including me. But, I feel like they wouldn't be pulling the trigger on this move if there isn't another move to go along w/ this one. Unless they think they can tread water until Choo comes back in a few weeks.

Agree. They don't make this move if they aren't planning on being buyers and making another deal or two.

Its a complete joke. Honestly at this point it is not even worth making a trade. This team is now in the "red" when it comes to run differential, and they are only 2 games over .500. After their series with the royals, they have 4 games with the redsox, 3 with the rangers, and 3 with the tigers back-to-back-to-back. If they dont fuck up with the royals (good chance they will) those 10 games will bury them. There is no point in trading away any future pieces for fucking Fukudome.

No thanks. But at the same time, if he is for a PTBNL or A player than why the fuck not? Certainly better than Kearns, Buck, or Duncan. Not a huge upgrade, but an upgrade.
