Let's say Fukodome comes in and does well, does that make Grady expendable going into next season? That is if we re-sign Fukodome.

1 more thing about Abner Abreu. Think Russel Branyan.

Dude has been in A ball now for 3 years and this year he finally showed the power swing. He's got 12 homers, but over 100 K's in a little over 300 abs. Not gonna move up with that crap.

Grady's team option won't be picked up next year. The only way he is back is of agrees to a cheap contract.

Tradign for Fukudome is a complete joke. Its honestly comical. SMH, 13 RBIs in 87 fucking games?
You can't knock people in when they aren't on base unless you are a power hitter. Which he isn't... I wouldn't get bent out of shape about his lack of RBI. There are stats out there that give you a much better idea of somebody's value

Word on the street is Tigers are scouting Ubaldo Jimenez and are thinking about making a deal for him...would definitely make a nice second option to Verlander
That would be a crazy 1-2 punch!

13 RBI is pathetic, come on now. The Cubs offense is the same as the Tribes.

Just curious, what is his batting avg with guys in scoring position? That would be a more telling stat. Because once again, you can't knock in guys who aren't on base

Well played sir:

.311 Average
.516 OBP
.467 Slugging

Of course, we will bat him 2nd, so it wont matter lol.

EDIT: Then again, that average and only 13 RBI? What is he bunting lol? Or just the Cubs bottom of the order NEVER gets on base?

Would the Tigers be willing to part w/ that? They might be, Verlander and the good Ubaldo would be very difficult to beat in a 7 game series.

Sounds like they're gonna deal some top prospects if the trade is possible

I had no idea that he had those stats. But I did have a feeling that his lack of RBI probably had something to do with the garbage that is the Cubs lineup

Is the Tribe trying to get anyone else? I don't like the Fukudome trade. Granted we didn't give them much, but we didn't get much in return. When we get Choo and Sizemore back our outfield will be stacked again. Are we even looking into getting anyone else? I'd like to see a blockbuster trade by the Tribe. Has it happened in the last 2 decades? Other than giving away all of our great players in blockbuster deals, of course.

Brantley is on the rise, and probably our best outfielder. Choo is a great right fielder and solid hitter (then again right fielders typically aren't all-stars). And Sizemore, when healthy is just as good if not better than Brantley. Teams don't have completely stacked outfields, but I'd say when our team is healthy we have a damn good one. I don't know how you can disagree with that.

Ok, can you name a team with three all star outfielders?

I honestly don't understand all of the negative feelings towards the three. I'm not looking to fight about it, but can you please explain why it's not a good trio?

There certainly are worse trios. I am willing to give Choo the benefit of the doubt, but he is having an awful year so far. In Brantley and Sizemore you have career .269 and .270 hitters. Sizemore has been in a slump for several years and is always hurt. Brantley may develop someday, but at he average, at best, right now.
