When did these things come back into style? I prefer fitted hats but have found a bunch of hats that I like that just so happen to be snapbacks. I don't think I've bought a snapback hat since probably middle school, though.

I first noticed them when I started listening to Wiz Khalifa and then Mac Miller when he blew up.

I have longer hair so I look rather stupid wearing a snap back. 59Fifty or nothin!

I have a blue and orange snapback Cavs hat from about 1996 that I still wear once in a while. Don't see many people wearing them around though, although that could just be because I haven't paid any attention to it.

I have a large head (no not a water head), I wear a size 8 in fitted hats which are difficult to find, so most of my hats are of the snap back variety.

I actually wear flat-brimmed hats on rare occasion (note: rare). It never really bothered me that other people do or don't like it, as it's not their decision to make.

I see many of my old friends wearing nut-huggers and I don't get those, but I don't call them names, because I know that a person's clothes don't really have any effect on who they are. Whether I wear a flat-brimmed hat, an old ripped college hat, or no hat at all, I'm still the same person. I'm okay with that.

I have a couple fitted, and a few 'snapback'. A hat is a hat to me.

I want to break the neck of anyone wearing a snapback hat backwards or anyone that has hair sticking out through the opening in the back. Also, all flat billed hats should be killed with fire.

To the OP, I actually like snapbacks. Like the old school white (plain) hats that just had the college name on them, like below. But the brim must be bent if I am wearing it.

First thing I do when I get a new hat, is put a wicked curve to the bill

Not real sure what the big deal is with these hats and older white people.

Stupid story, but I was in a hat store trying on hats (before I realized the craze of the flat bill). I put on a flat billed hat and started crunching the bill to see how it looked on me. Guy in the store didn't like it too well. The craze is gayer than aids.
