I just finished The Lovely Bones, which is awesome.
Now I'm reading Odd Man Out, which is pretty good but not as salacious as I thought it would be, and The Weight of a Mustard Seed which I've barely gotten into but is well written and seems interesting.

Just finished my third read through of The Road by Cormac Mccarthy since the movie is out.
Almost finished with Blood Meridian, also by Mccarthy.
Probably gonna read some of Jeff Shaara's newer stuff over break.

I've been gradually going through Doyle's Sherlock Holmes works. Up to the stories in "His Last Bow" right now.
And decided to re-read a number of the short stories by Stephen King. Don't know if I have the energy to tackle a novel like Under the Dome right now, but a 10-30 page story is a good way to cap off an evening.

Faust, however, has been a welcome exception. The translation I'm reading is clear and lucid, and it's beautiful--the rhymes aren't forced, and the meter flows well. It's like reading some good Shakespeare, only better, with more interesting things going on, and lots of dirty jokes. It's the best thing I've read in a long time.

I just finished The Associate and am now starting The Appeal, both by Grisham. I always buy books that I tell myself I will read when I get the time, and now is working out for now.

Which Translation? the one I asked for is a newer translation (from '07 I believe).

I just finished The Hurricanes by Jere Longman. It is about a HS football team in southern Louisiana right before and after hurricane Katrina. I loved it.
