Anyone have this yet? Stoked. I get it free, but our tech guy is out of town. If you have it, what are the new "things" that come with?

have it, been tinkering with it for a few hours now. Like the changes to ical, mail, and the full screen apps. Still getting used to so much gesture navigation. I was a big user of spaces for applications, now you have to use three fingers and swipe through applications. You can however two finger swipe back a page on the internet. It is ok.
Also, you have to swipe up to move a page down. Not sure why the change was made, but I think it probably has to do with the fact Mac is moving to a gesture based system. OSX lion seems more like the evolution than the solution.

I'm less than impressed. I mean, it's $29 so it's not bad. But I don't think his was a very big or important update at all.

Don't like the sound of that. I'm more of a keyboard person in terms of navigation, not a trackpad. Only thing I use the trackpad for is scrolling.

I'm on it now, just downloaded it. To me, the switch in scrolling is stupid. Why change it? Because it's Apple, and they just HAVE to be different.
BE AWARE!!! ... I just installed, and OSX Lions DOES NOT support Power PC applications. I have about 6 years worth of data in Quicken, and I cannot access it or input new information. I have to download Quicken Essentials for $50. At least I got the OS free.

Here is one thing I don't get about Safari, and I haven't figured out how to change it yet. When you quit Safari and open it back up, instead of going to your homepage, it goes to your last visited page.

Are you actually quitting Safari or just closing it out (clicking the red 'x')?

The inverted scrolling and the new gestures were introduced to be more like the iOS on the iPhone and iPad. I like the new gestures, but not a fan of inverted scrolling. You can change it back fyi.

My guess is you'll get used to it.

I do believe you can change the scrolling in the settings.
I haven't even upgraded to Snow Leopard yet. I was going to do that within the next couple of weeks though.

I enjoy OSX Lion. Airdrop is a great feature. I didn't like the inverted scrolling either, but I have already gotten used to it.

This inverted scrolling sounds weird. So to scroll down a page you have to swipe up now?

Airdrop - what is this? Is it a feature that would allow us to share files? We just drag what we want to share in the "Airdrop"? I drag a file into that, then you can go into it and snag it?

Also, if I have a window with multiple tabs on it and Quit... when I open Safari back up, all my tabs open back up. I don't like this feature at all, and I can't figure out how to change it.

Have you tried Command + QQing it?

Not a huge fan of the new Mail, but it is something that will be easy to get used to. Guess I just need to embrace change a little better

Google Chrome dominates Safari anyway....why even fuck with it?
AirDrop allows you to share files between devices over wifi. I haven't tried it yet.

Yes pretty much. Have to be connected to the same network though I believe.

the scrolling is inverted, yes you swipe up to get the page to go down.
swipe left and right with two fingers and you can go back to previously viewed internet pages.
mission control is an interesting way to go through your applications, and air drop yes, if two air drop users are on the same network you can drag and drop files right onto their computer. Airshare a bit more easily done.
