Only reason I mowed two weeks ago was to mow the clover down. Attracting bees where my kids like to play. Other than that, no need to mow in over a month.

You are correct. I guess I should've put NE Ohio since I'm only 250 miles from that border.

We've had quite a bit of rain recently(i'm only about 20mi. from ironman92). A couple good rains a week for months, it has actually gotten the crops that were planted so late, back on track. No dead grass around here.vball10set;835500 wrote:where are you located? I'm in NWO, and we've had less than two inches of rain in six weeks, with the majority of that coming last Wednesday--it sucks

Some thunderstorms blew through around 7:30 tonight north of Dayton - nothing too severe I didn't think. I've actually been in Canada since Saturday, just got back this evening. We were right on the Canada-western New York border, so it was in the 90s there. Our house wasn't air conditioned, either. Luckily we had Lake Erie as our backyard.

On the way home saw some amazing streaks of lightning just to teh south so I waited about a half hour to run after it looked like it passed through. On the run I could see the dark clouds south and man it started to pour down on me and I got soaked. Funny thing is......where I was it was totally sunny! It felt pretty good to get soaked. Once it stopped man oh man did it start to heat up pretty damned quick!
Maybe got 5 minutes of a good downpour.
Today is supposed to be the hottest.....TWC says 99 as the hight with 110 heat index so it should be a gooooood run after work.
We have central air and a couple of window units. We started to just turn on the windown units an hour before bedtime in the bedrooms and they run for a total of 3 hours total. Is less expensive than running the central air for the whole house.
