When you see a woman at a sporting event, or one that knows a good deal about sports, how many spots does that raise her on the hotness scale for you?

For instance, last night a woman wearing lime green was behind the plate at the reds buccos game. She was OK I guess, but because she was at a game it kinda raised her rating for me.

See it all the time when I go to games, see them on TV and such, and I think it raises them two points for being at a game and knowing sports.

On a side note.....there was a nice lil hottie right behind the plate on the right handed batters box side, a brunette wearing red...nice perky snacktrays. Nice to look at!

yes...i am sick

Women sports fas can def help their hottness factor. Though I could also see it being detrimental as sometimes I would rather watch the game with some buds without women.

Far as women playing sports....eh I think its usually a negative. Most women in pro sports are butt ass ugly. Before everyone harps on Hope solo or Morgan, thats two players out of the entire WC. Majority of pro female athletes are dogs.

The fanatical ones seem to be really fat though from what I have seen.

Good point tho....the more fanatical the more points they lose. I guess I am talking about just seeing a woman at a sporting event or them in team colors always raises the factor to me

Oh, if this were only so. It's a rare find to see a woman at a game that "knows" sports. IF you find that, it's major hotness. Cannot be assumed that because they are attending the game that they know sports.

It's when they are a "know it all" and think they know more than you that's a turnoff.

Doesn't matter to me. Like sports, hate sports, what makes her attractive has nothing to do with sports.

I like a woman to know enough about sports to know why its important to me, and why it's important that I watch the games w/ my buddies!

I agree. I usually zone em out once they try to talk about sports.

You can find the opposite extreme though. I knew a chick who could explain & devise a 3-4 defense, blitz packages included. My thoughts are a) don't explain to me what I already know and b) I don't want to date Dick Lebeau.

This is slightly off-topic but it makes me laugh when a guy thinks a girl watches/likes sports to impress men. I watch sports because I enjoy them. I have 5 brothers and was raised around football, basketball and baseball. I am somewhat knowledgeable but am far from an expert and I don't pretend to be. If it makes me more attractive to someone...great. If a guy doesn't like it...not my problem.

It is nice being around other ladies that are also interested and informed. It makes the fake girls that really have no idea what they are talking about seem less annoying.

+1 for being at the game (doesnt matter if they know anything, but they are willing to go with me and get drunk).
+1 for knowing sports
+1 for knowing sports but not engaging in conversations about sports, because lets face it, even if you know sports. You dont know as much as the men.

My wife is all about sports. It works out well because I am too.

We are huge Packer fans. We love going to the games and watching them on tv. Same goes for a lot of soccer games, we'll go, we'll enjoy them, and neither has to get bored with the game. Other than that, we are very limited in the sports that she or I go to/enjoy. I used to like the NBA...not anymore, so we don't really care about it. She is a big UK fan, so she goes nutso for their basketball games...I hate UK. She occasionally goes to a UK football game here and there...some may not know that UK actually has a football team (;)). I am not a supporter of any specific university or program (well, beside the ones I coach at).

If she didn't like soccer, I don't know what would happen. I don't believe I could date/marry a girl that didn't have some sort of athletic background, either playing or being a supporter.

I would say that this is pretty much accurate. It's not necessary that a woman I'm with knows or likes sports, but she at least must respect the fact that I do and must also understand that during Buckeye games I'm going to be with my "other woman."

If I see a woman in Cubs gear, it gives me a hard on. Every year when I go on my annual visit to Wrigley, I can barely concentrate on the game. And I'm being serious...something about a woman in Cubs gear does it for me. She could be completely average (let's say a 5) and she jumps to an 8 for me.

Not quite as much of a jump with the Bears, Bulls or Illini....but it's similar.

I went to the El Salvador vs Canada Gold Cup game when it was in CCS in 2007, some of the best looking women I have ever seen were ES fans.

Have you already went this season? I'm going up the first weekend in August.

Yeah. With my ex-wife, it went to two levels.

COOL: She sees I like sports and starts watching them with me. Since she has no built-in fanhood, she follows my teams. I explain rules and stuff to her. We have fun catching games together.

NOT COOL: She starts getting into arguments with people she knows who cheer for rival teams. Despite only having a basic knowledge of shit. Which makes me facepalm repeatedly as, by proxy, she makes me look like an idiot.

Yeah, I go early. That way they are less then 10 games out of first and I can get excited. I went May 14th against SF. It was actually a horrible decision to go that early. 42 degrees, fog, rain and wind...game was called after 6. We were freezing.

Here's a photo of the best part of the trip:

Flipping off the Bartman chair.

On a side note, this was the first year we went to Sluggers after the game (right next to the stadium down from Harry Caray's). Make sure you go...that place is a blast. Night club downstairs, batting cages and arcade upstairs, dueling pianos upstairs. Good times.
